Has anyone used CBD oil for chronic pain? And do you have results?
I'm a chronic pain suffer of 35+ years. Scoliosis is the culprit. Not a disfiguring curve but non the less painfully destructive. Almost every disc is bulging from 3mm to 6mm. I've had 2 spinal fusion. C 3-7 and L 4-5. Have 4 nerve root impengements with spondylosis in some areas and stenosis at interval from neck to sacral. Take steroid shots when I can with positive results for a few weeks. Always have Norco 5mg/325 ready if needed. Unfortunately I have found the best way to keep pain down is to lie down. So most of my days are spent on my bed. Any suggestions?

@burningfeetinphoenix, @rasputin, You may have noticed that I didn't get back to you right away. Guess what? I lost the entire post because the internet coughed or something. I wish there was an automatic save on this program.
Let me begin again. I am replying to both of you in the same post since you may both benefit from the same information.
@burningfeetinphoenix were you able to find the answers you needed about regulations in Arizona? What is your take on that state program? Will it work for you? I am happy to share my experience with dosages and timing. Do you have questions about product choices or dosages?
@rasputin, I appreciate your response also, especially the words that you may not have given up on medical cannabis. Here is a link for you to explore. Without additional information like the name of the product and the ratios of contributing ingredients, I cannot give you a verifiable response. My hunch is that the product you used did not include THC as described in the attached article.

I find Leafly to be authentic and the photo includes Care by Design, a company whose products I have used for several years. The regulation that comes with legalization does result in products that are a lot more consistent and reliable.
I also wanted to mention that after dosing with a 2:1 CBD/THC tincture regularly for several years, at this time there is no noticeable psychotropic high, just the sudden comfort of pain relief and a reduction in the intensity of the needles that run roughshod over my hands. My life partner uses this 2:1 ratio for reducing the impact of restless leg syndrome at night. That means he sleeps well and all through the night, finally. He also tells me that there is no "high", just relief. Do you have new questions or comments?
May you both have comfort and be free of suffering. Chris
Thank you @jmb73. Although your medical situation is diverse and to some extent delicate, you have managed to choose the correct medical cannabis products and through experimentation, find a dosing protocol that works well. I use tinctures with the same delivery system, under the tongue. I am very worried about that arthritic bone spur that is pushing on your nerve. I have one of those.
During the thoracic surgery, the nerve was found bruised and damaged. The surgeon told me that because nerves take so long to heal, this one wouldn’t make it in my lifetime. So enter medical cannabis and I now feel like I am living every day to its full potential for age 77 with chronic pain.
Please stay in touch. I want to be a part of your journey. May you be content and healthy. Chris
I am 75 and my PC said to make an appointment with a pain management Dr. but I will keep using the CBD and THC. She didn't mention surgery as an option. I had Gamma surgery last Jan and it took 8 months for the pin site infection to heal. The neuro surgeon couldn't believe it. I am supposed to have a hip replacement but my thumbs have collapsed so they want to replace the cartilage before I have my hip replaced. I have decided not to have either operation even though I am in pain as I am concerned about the healing. Having thoracic surgery scares me too. My IgM is below normal and I have had the pneumonia shot 3 times and the titers have not gone up. I will just keep taking my CBD and hope for the best.
@artscaping I read the AZ Medical Cannibus Info. It looks a bit complicated but doable...right now I am trying Kratom and Phenytoin topical. CBD will be my next trial if these do not work for my burning feet. As I mentioned I just went on Cymbalta so I want to see first how these work for me. This condition just started abruptly a couple months ago so I have not gotten to the point yet where the pain is unbearable...but it probably will be based on posts from forum participants...Thx Pam
After many failed attempts with other brands I finally found this brand. The products at Weedborn are the best and I don't think I will ever have to look for another CBD supplier again.
I recommend topical THC and CBD combo, 300 mg. each, water based cream by Escape Artists. Best pain relief I have found.
Never worked for me.
Like several that have already responded, the world of medical cannabis & CDB products is highly individual. Leafly is a good resource and so is Nurse 411. 411 connects you live with an RN that knows about these options and can help you tailor a regimen just for you. I think it runs about $25 per phone appt. I used med cannabis for many months & in my opinion, it's the best pain mgt tool ....period. But, depending upon what state you live in, know the law. States that allow it's use even have other indirect it's use triggers. Like in VA where I live: you cannot use it and own a firearm; so, in my situation, I could not keep on using it. CBD oil tinctures are great also: some companies give good discounts for vets & those with priven disability. A good combo resource is use the 411 system combined with Myriam's Hemp out of Vegas. Took me years to figure which terpene CBD, CBG, CBN mix that works for me.
All the best
frankincense oil works for 24 hours.
CBD oil works too. I use both but prefer the frankincense oil because it last longer.
I have the same issues as you. I use cbd oil frequently on my back or anywhere there is pain. It definitely helps.
