Kim, how long have you been on carvedilol? Did you tell your cardiologist about the side effects you're having?

Hi Kim @kimrabuck I don't remember any specific side effects on It but the one issue I had and it could have been on any of the 3 main drugs I was on which were Amiodroine, Carvedilol or Mexiletine which was this severe cramp of my calf muscle usually only one leg. And it would subside just by putting weight on it. Now as for sleeping, sometimes it would wake me up with the cramp. But not general sleep issues

Hi @kimrabuck. I've been on Carvedilol for several years at 25mg twice a day with no discernible side effects from the drug. My nightime rising to urinate is attributable to my extended (confidential) age and my diuretic (needed to keep potassium in my blood, thanks to an inherited kidney defect). Carvedilol is a beta blocker, chosen by my medical team to reduce my blood pressure and repress heart arrhythmia (mine from A-fib). I have no arrhythmia symptoms. Martin

Hi, I havent used Carvediol, but I used another betablocker, metoprolol 25 mg once a day for almost 8 month, and I had also trouble with sleeping. It is a very common sideeffect unfortunately. Maybe you can ask for another type, to see if that helps?
