Oh my gosh. I feel so bad for you. My adult daughter is experiencing the same thing. She has reported it to every Doctor she has seen & has had "common" tests run which generally dont show anything alarming as her Docs say. But she is miserable & it contributes to depression. They wont even consider that she has long covid because when she was very sick in Sept 2020, her covid test was negative. We know she has long haulers & continue to seek out help.
Hope you feel better soon
I dont know if the profuse sweating is common, but it is driving my crazy. Even sitting and just watching tv, I am sweating. I take an anti depressant and sometimes it helps, but not always.
I have taken a few anticholinergics and SSRIs, but with marginal improvement. Which have you been taking? Also have you used/ tried beta blockers or alpha agonist (i.e. Clonidine)?
Covid is one of the few viruses, if not the only one, to cross the blood-brain barrier. A Spanish study showed that 50% of people who had contracted Covid had neurological symptoms.

I HAD COVID SEPTEMBER 1 THRU OCTOBER 3. TESTED POSITIVE FOR 21 DAYS. LEFT WITH SHORT OF BREATH WHICH NOW SUBSIDED WITH NEBULIZER TREATMENTS, ALBUTEROL AND PULMICORT. HOWEVER IM LEFT WITH THE SEVEREST PERSPIRING ALL DAY, ALL NIGHT, DRIPPING WET. I HAVENT FOUND OUT WHAT TO DO FOR IT. ANY SUGGESTIONS.GOOD LUCK TO ALL STILL SUFFERING FROM THIS DREADFUL VIRUS.
I had Covid the end of May-early June 2022. I had drenching night sweats along with a bunch of other symptoms that were in the "Post/Long Covid category" in July and I suspected I had Post-Covid or Long Covid. I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease! I was shocked, but grateful for my internist, who ran every blood test there is. Covid has so many symptoms, but don't discount other causes....it's not always Post/Long Covid.
I experienced this same thing, and assumed it was Post/Long Covid (Covid in May-June 2022). My daily Covid tests were all negative. I ended up testing positive for Lyme Disease!!! I didn't even know I had been bitten by a tick...had to have happened working in my yard. Grateful to my internist for running every test possible and looking outside of "Covid". Doxycycline for 28 days, Neurologist, Endocrinologist, and Physical Therapy part of my recovery.
Yes! I got Covid Jan. 2022
I still have late evening/night sweats. Not fun!!!!
My husband bought a hand fan and that ended up helping me a lot!!
I have have COVID twice, and excessive and frequent sweating has been a symptom for me. I thought I was the only one experiencing this! After getting COVID the first time I had the sweats for 3 months. Second time has been since July and I still have them. I have them several times a day and at night. They’re sudden and with no warning and usually last a few minutes. I go from dry to full on drenched in seconds! I’ve seen my doctor but no help. I’ve found relief at night by keeping a small fan near the foot of the bed and off to the side, angled up so that when I get the sweats or feel one coming on I can put a foot out to catch the breeze. This fan is on EVERY NIGHT and has helped immensely. I also keep a tiny fan on my night table for my face, one on my desk and a personal one that I take everywhere. It doesn’t stop the sweating but I immediately feel better and I cool off faster. I feel some relief knowing that I’m not alone but I hope we all get permanent relief soon. Buy yourself some fans!
