@jerrynord My husband is retired Army and we usually stay at one of the campgrounds at Mayport Naval Station in either our rv or in one of their cabins and sometimes stay at a lodge on base (it is like most any hotel). The Pelican Roost Campground is a nice place to watch ships come and go.. and Osprey Cove Campground is nice and shady and it has the cabins. I need to go for endoscopy, but am holding off until things calm more. Hopefully soon.
Right now I would call the Mayo's Concierge Services as Colleen as mentioned and take a look at her other suggestions.. many suggestions here for hotels. Some places may be closed or have restrictions though.
Thankyou. I stayed at Osprey when we had a camper. I am going to call the Mayo number when I receive my whole itinerary.
Jerry,
Hampton at Ponte Vedra is good too with AARP, Mayo, and Military rates, a free shuttle, complimentary breakfast, some evenings beverages and snacks as well as dinner really close to the parking lot and extremely nice staff. We will stay there everytime we stay over night. Bonnie
@jerrynord I pray all goes well. I really like watching the ships. Sometimes I try to track them online. I like watching the people fish too. Otherwise we might try for something closer to the Mayo Clinic. We spent 3 months at Osprey Cove in 2014 and again in 2015. In 2014 we had to spend a couple of days over at Hannah Park. My stay in hospital was much longer than expected.. 3 weeks instead of 4 days. I wasn't allowed to leave the area on doctor's orders. and we had to give up our spot for someone with reservations. I could not help my husband with any of the moves.. but he is good at backing our trailer up. I don't like backing over the curbs at Osprey Cove. The cabins are not bad. I love my recliner in our trailer better. ... and I know who slept in the bed.
😃
All really good points. Prayers for you both too!

Hi Lawrence @lmindela - What a great service your team is doing. I live about 45 minutes from Mayo JAX so I am always interested in this kind of information. Unfortunately, when I tried to get to the site, I think the link is broken. I get an error message. Could you check it out and repost? Many thanks!
Thankyou Site could not be reached so I will try later.
Hi @jerrynord and @debbraw, I fixed the link in Lawrence's post. Here it is again:

While @lmindela and his fellow concierge assistants are physically located at the Minnesota campus, they provide services for Mayo Clinic's Florida and Arizona campuses, too.
