The most comprehensive guide to accomodations around Mayo Clinic Jacksonville can be found here http://www.mayoclinic.org/mcitems/pdfs/becomingpat-jax-accomm-guide-2008.pdf

The closest accomodations for patients in need of immediate access points are the Mayo Clinic Inn (attached and inside hall connected this facility is best for COPD, radiation and chemotherapeutic or surgery outpatients due to proximity) it is operated under a contract by Marriott International, the Courtyard by Marriott is located adjacent to research facilities and outpatient clinics it is on the other side of a major parking lot but still considered "on campus".

Basically the Mayo Clinic is located on the Southside of Jacksonville in the inter coastal region off of San Pablo Rd. (see map above) In addition to the facilities above- Wingate-Windsor Commons (offering shuttle services), Hampton Inn Marsh Landing Parkway, Hampton Inn (Point Meadows) & Holiday Inn Baymeadows as well as Residence Inn JTB and Sheraton Deerwood Park are all close by. A newer Hampton Inn has opened at Beach Blvd between Hodges Blvd and San Pablo Rd (major roads to the Mayo Clinic facilities), at the beach (if medications and sunlight does not bother patients) a newly renovated Hampton Inn, Courtyard by Marriott and Fairfield Inn Jacksonville Beach and the Hilton Garden Inn at Ponte Vedra and Marriott Sawgrass (pricey). Also two five (cleaner) extended stay hotels are on the Southside of Jacksonville.

A great choice for families with 4 day (mid week visits) is the Homewood Suites by Hilton at St John's Town Center as it allows access to St Johns Town Center and the restaurants and walkable area if your condition allows.

I also just stayed a week at the LaQuinta on Lenoir. Clean, reasonable and very satisfied. My parents stayed at the Wingate by Wyndham across the circle and were very pleased. about the same rate and their am breakfast was better. However, LaQuinta worked for us as we are smokers.

Hello @jerrynord,

I hope that a Mayo patient who has visited the Jacksonville Mayo Clinic will respond to your question about where to stay. However in the meantime, here is a link to information about the Jacksonville campus, lodging, etc.

Our favorite place is Hampton Inn. They have a shuttle to the hospital - just over the bridge. And they are within easy distance of a restaurant and shops. And, they have reasonable prices, a discount for Mayo patients, nice happy hours and very friendly staff. Can't beat this.
