Anyone had experience with OsteoStrong, who is not a franchisee?
Has anyone had experience with OsteoStrong? It suggests you will get a large increase in bone density while using their facility 10 minutes per WEEK. Somewhat pricey at $99 and up per month, but am curious if anyone who is NOT a franchisee, has experienced this program?

Has anyone joined and used this exercise group to improve their bone density, balance and strength?
I have pretty bad osteoporosis and have been taken OTC supplements for a year. I stopped pilates (aggravated deteriorating spine), PT didn't help the back, now back at the gym, walking on treadmill, doing simple core exercises, lifting weights. I will pay out of pocket for a dexa scan to see if any of this has improved my results from last year.
I have been reading about osteostrong - I see suits, and wonder why it is not FDA investigated or approved. Does anybody know?
I hurt my knee pretty bad with one of the machines. There are reports of compression fractures as well with that same machine. And a law suit or maybe a few about that.
Hi @tash, I used to do Pilates but stopped. Dr. Loren Fishman has a yoga program that improves bone density. It's called 12 Poses vs Osteoporosis and has three variations - for osteoporosis, osteopenia, and the regular poses. Algaecal also broke them ou and posted each version separately. I like Dr. Fishman's version because it's quick - about 15 minutes. You can Find it on YouTube. I started with the osteoporosis version, now am doing the regular poses. I also walk about 40 minutes most days. Take care.
Thank you for the feedback. I am taking a look at Dr Loren Fishman's yoga programs now!

Osteostrong seems too good to be true, and if they are "so good", I'd think they'd be FDA approved. I found a video online saying just that. I will try the yoga tapes, but with my deteriorating spine, I have to be careful. I continue to go the gym to work on core (core strenthening will help the spine), weight work and the treadmill.
I'm 69. Dexa a year ago and last week:
Lumbar spine: T-2.6 -2.7
Z -.06 -.06
BMD .757 .748
Femoral neck T -3.1 -2.9
Z -1.3 -1.1
BMD .509 .525
Total hip: T-2.7 -0.2
Z -1.3 -.5
BMD .613 .704
after 1 year of OTC supplements and the gym vast improvement in hip, but back has no change. I have a painful deteriorating spine as well. How do I get similar improvements in my spine w/o meds? What exercises can I do? I need to see some improvement as the new rheumatologist will only be interested in meds. Is my osteoporosis considered severe? My GP told me I should not be exercising at all!!
