Fibromyalgia: Anyone out there with the same diagnosis?

Posted by dknnkn @dknnkn, Apr 29, 2012

Hello! I was just diagnosed this Friday with Fibromyalgia. Is there anyone out there with the same condition. I am a 37 yr old female that was pretty active until I took a drastic decline with severe increases in pain in August. Initial blood tests were pointing towards lupus, but after a thorough exam---fibromyalgia it is. My rheumatologist started me on a 2 week trial of savella. Thanks so much for any insight you may have for me 🙂

I am happy you are 100% free of pain & 100% healthy, but there is no cure for Fibromyalgia. I don't think it is appropriate to encourage people by offering to tell them about these systems you BOUGHT. I noticed in another post you mentioned a book you had written. It appears to me that you are selling something, even if your approach is subtle.

I will never sell anything to people that are suffering or in pain. My experience is that it is easy to cure Fibromyalgia and many other health conditions people are suffering from. So please never judge and say anything else. Because when I say this, it is based on what I have of knowledge and experience, not anyone else. I take people very seriously, and will never sell the book (it is in Norwegian so it will not be for sale to people here anyway) or anything else. Many people would do exactly what you did, telling that it appears to you that I am selling something! In my life I have helped many people healthy from pain, cancer, Fibromyalgia without charging for it. It gives great meaning to have the knowlegde and power to help, so I will be happy to be respected for knowing how to cure Fibromyalgia and quite a lot of the Cancers. Thanks, Falke.

Hi there, dknnkn :)
I hope you are feeling good today. For me, Today is one of those rare days when I have a full blown fibro attack...(every muscle in my body hurts including facial muscles and in fingers and toes!) the good news is: I know it won't last. The only thing that helps me is taking MSM caps together with Vit C...and several different homeopathics. Kerri Lynn gave you excellent suggestions as to how to take care of yourself.
Be careful what you believe and what you buy into... and do NOT think of it as something you are forever stuck with...a positive mind set is crucial. I can go for WEEKS without any trace of fibro. When mine started it they called it "arthralgia"...because they didn't have a label for it...so thought it was like arthritis of the muscles (and it sorta is!) ... I used to have continuous dull pain on my right side, from R jaw line to R ankle...Malic Acid helped me a LOT in the beginning. I believe what brought on my attack today was two things: been through shock and stress because of death of a dear friend...and I ate two 7-Eleven donuts yesterday evening. (I really am serious that certain sugars effect me!)
Sometimes you just have to experiement and see what works best for you. Wishing you all the good luck in the world!

Bettyann, I am addicted to donuts. They are my comfort food, I know how awful I will feel when I eat them, but sometimes it's worth it. I try to take a supplement that helps aid in digestion...it helps a bit. Sugar and white flour really get me, but I crave them so much when Im sad or stressed.

How much extra vit C do you take? I would like to try that & see if it helps. I take 500 every morning and my multi vit has C in it. I also take 800 biotin, Super B stress complex,1000 fish oil, 2000 vit D, 600 calcium 2x daily, 1 mg folic acid and probiotics. Any other reccomendations?

I am a big believer in MSM --two 1 gram pills with 1 gram Vit C.(twice a day on an empty stomach)..I should take it more often, but it usually gets me back on track with fibro. You can take many GRAMS of Vit C and it can only do you good. I am taking fish oil again together with CoQ10...and it really helps get rid of IBS pain (which can really be knocked for a loop with a fibro attack 🙁 ...but anyhoo. I also take homeopathics: Bryonia Alba and Arnica Montana... to me they work like a 'quick fix' and quickly reduce the pain. Work SO much better than Advil which doesn't even seem to touch the pain. Taking two or three 50mg Vit B complex per day rally is good for the ol' nerve and yup, the Folic Acid and probiotics...excellent.

I've seen Arnica at the compounding pharmacy and almost bought it several times, I will have to try it, does it have to be Arnica montana? Or is any arnica ok? I have to introduce 1 thing at a time soI think I will start with Arnica.I've got my IBS controlled pretty well finally. I take 1/2 a citrucil tablet at night & if I get a flare up & pain simethicone helps. Have you tried acupuncture? I have heard it's very helpful.
