@leigh17

Yes that’s a good point about the steroid with osteoporosis I had asked my provider and he said that the amount he was using was safe. My next step will be the radio frequency ablation I had one done in the past and my SI area and it was very effective. I have an integrative pain management doctor. Praying that this works because I like you have severe pain in that area. Good luck to you , I hope one of these options might work for you.

@leigh17 - Keep us all posted about how the radio frequency ablation works for your SI area. I'm hoping for the best.

Thank you so much. I am sorry I was not more clear…getting epidurals in Si joints first , Possibly in the future. The radio frequency ablation he will try for my thoracic pain next month. Will keep you all posted on that. Hoping you and others find relief for their pain, I know how debilitating this all can be.

@leigh 117 - Buoyed by your and other's encouragement, I sought additional information. I found about 15 videos and websites about compression fractures including exercises, precautions and treatments.
I only took time to watch this 36 minute illustrated talk by a Dr. Ali Araghi of The Core Institute about compression fractures. I have no idea how legit he or "The Core Institute" is. I welcome any feedback from others who have been on this Mayo site longer than my brief time about him or any internet precautions.
If posting videos is discouraged on this site, please let me know.

I too am new so not sure if this is allowed but thank you for posting this, I understood the procedure but had not seen such a detailed explanation and diagram per se. I feel the earlier the procedure is done the better the outcome will be. My Dr was hopeful it would stop the pain but…. Will update after the next procedure. Thank you again .

@leigh17 Hi again. I just watched a much more responsible video of a physical therapist interviewing her patient Brenda about the innovative ways she approached her multiple compression fractures. She opted against kyphoplasty. It is good to be cautious.
Lacking a reprimand for the prior video, here it is:

Again, feedback welcome.

Absolutely! I am sorry or your pain. And no one understands how exhausting daily pain can be. It is socially isolating. It steals quality of life.
