hi my name is miho I to suffer from dry eyes. do you know if you have sojgrens syndrome. I got great results with †ear duct plugs ,find a good dry eye dr. they are out there. you can try the plugs for 2 weeks to see if they help before you commit to the 6 month plugs. no pain at all having them put in. I have info of a great dry eye doctor in New Hampshire if you are interested .

Hi Miho, what really works are the heat pads you put in the microwave, then place on your eyes. It releases the oils in the Mibomian glands to moisten your eyes. It really helps. Mikayla

Hi Miho, what really works are the heat pads you put in the microwave, then place on your eyes. It releases the oils in the Mibomian glands to moisten your eyes. It really helps. Mikayla

Hi Mikayla ,i also use those pads, they do work very well for temporally relief . the tear duct plugs gave me months of relief. very easy and painless when the dr. places then in your tear ducts, you can do a two week trial to se if they work before you commit to the six months plugs.you can use the heat pads with the plugs in if need be.Miho

The business mission is to help folks find the best insurance for their age, medical conditions, address (I had to wait a year to get registered as an MN resident and it saved me lots of money. I was paying CA prices and they are higher.).

There is no charge for their services......they are paid by the companies. My life partner has been with them for years. Last year I needed benefits for surgeries and chronic pain. This year, I will be focusing on my hearing issues of tinnitus and limited functioning and my aging eyes with macular degeneration and glaucoma. I also added dental insurance because my osteoporosis meds have some risk in terms of allergic reactions that involve the jaw.

Another option is Senior Benefits Group which is also a free service paid by insurance companies to sign up members. I’ve used them for the past 5 years and they have been great as I have a number of costly drugs that their service helped me manage with the correct Part D carrier that fit my budget.

@milo, @mikaylar and all...Last week. I saw my Mayo eye doc hoping to get the new nasal spray I heard helped dry eyes. I've suffered for years and done all I know to do.

Nope. He said it's like slicing an onion! Onion's cheaper...so, he inserted new larger tear duct plugs. I've used them several years, no great answer. These are larger and are helping. Much better. Fewer drops needed. Good thing.

hi Elizabeth I am glad you got some relief.I get great relief from the plugs, is the dr. a dry eye specialist ? if not you should try one, they do dry eye, not just a regular ophthalmologist , hope you you feel better , stay safe George

I am a 68 year old male with 2 years of chronic nerve pain in my left hip and left leg down to the knee. This started during a lumbar epidural that appears to have gone bad. Any ideas what happened? Can back issues cause prostate problems like infection?

Hi Frank my name is Joan. I too have dry eye syndrome. It can be very painful and bothersome. Every four hrs eye moisture drops and I refuse to get eye plugs. Medications also can dry the eyes out. My doctor has me do an eye "wash". A warm cloth, place at the eyelid for 30 seconds, and it allows the moisture from between the eyelashes also to moisten the eyes.That surprised me and it helps. I do it 2x/day. He said to keep using the drops. I had uveitis years ago in 1993 and was told it was from arthritis (which I hardly had and was young). Hope you find answers. They do have longer acting eye drops to keep the eyes moist.

Hi Joan my name is George I also suffer from dry eyes. the tear duct plugs works great for me . it a painless proceeder when the Dr. puts them in .you can try 2 weeks plugs and if they work the Dr. can place the six month plugs. are you seeing a dry eye specialist? they are more versed in dry eye problems than a regular eye Dr. have you tried the microwaveable eye mask they work better than a warm face cloth I hope this info helps you George
