Low Back Pain Going into Hip and Leg
I have had 5 surgeries/fusions on my back and neck. I have not been able to get out of pain. I have lower right back pain, goes into my hip and into right leg. They think it might be my hip now, but doctor took and xray of hip a d they looked fine, he said. So I am in a position where I'm on pain meds and dont know who to see that can help me. I need help be a use of the pain when I get up. I also have pain in between shoulder blades which is secondary to my right lower back. I have had MRI done and they do not see what it may be... I'm just tired of being in pain with no life. I know God sent me to this site to find out options. Can someone help?

Thats Good News and Bad News. I did not know. My physician did not tell me this. The physician has done many steroid injections over the past year. Quick count about 7 in the SI joint. The injections then are less than two evils. Or are they? This is really something to think about. Thank You for posting this.

I don't know what I have. Other than pain that is. My Physician is sending me for an evaluation to see what I am "Capable of doing". Had to put that in quotes as there are so many things to do in life. I feel more like it's just how I am going to be able to do them not if I can actually do them. Ok there are some things I don't do as much or as fast or exactly how someone without pain. Or exactly how I used to do them. Still, they have to get done.
I feel your pain so to speak. It's there and it interferes with my ability to move by body the way I once did. Some movements are just too painful and others, if I do. I'm going to regret it later. In a big way. There is no liking anything about pain, its horrible and agonizing and in my opinion, ok this is my opinion. So, I digress before getting worked up. I like to consider myself open minded to change, however, for years I lived a very physical lifestyle. So, changing my physical behavior is hardest of all for me. Accepting this is the way I am now and making it work is challenging to say the least. I may always have some emotional difficulty not being the athlete I once was. I am slowly learning to do it and trying to find ways to do things differently. I will do the best I can, Hope it's good enough, and try not to be too hard on myself.
My right hip and lower back are painful when put to use. Also I have acnes and pains in my muscles. Yoga and stretching seems to help but it does not last long.
Yes, pain and the underlying cause(s) really does make us adjust our lifestyle! I was an energizer bunny for a long time, but now I must have the off-brand of batteries, because they run down quickly. It does take longer to do everything, and although I can manage smaller tasks now, I will probably never shingle a garage again...
What methods do you use to get the necessary done while avoiding putting yourself in big-time pain?

Has anyone heard of or had The Sprint System. Sprint Peripheral Nerve Stimulation. SprintPNS.com Very new and just arriving in my area. My pain Dr says it has worked well in other areas of the country. Supposed to be very minimally-invasive Thank you in advance

I may have mentioned this before but I am taking gabapentin and it's been a total game changer for me.
