What to expect at Mayo Clinic's Post COVID Treatment Program?

I just finished a week full of appointments in Mayo. I am post covid 10 months with pulmonary "Covid" fibrosis. I am scheduled for 2 Post COVID Treatment Programs this week and am unsure what they will entail? Does anyone know?

We received our call to hopefully get husband into post Covid clinic but after answering all questions were told no appointments avayand to call back in February 😥 Hope he’s better by then.

How frustrating to get that news! Did they have any suggestions for things you can do at home while waiting?

Dx with Covid July 2021, flu like symptoms, burning from inside out, fatigue, then vertigo. out 3 weeks. August was fine. September had uti, then same symptoms of Covid but worse and more severe and now its been one month, cant get better, all labs are WNL, urine samples are good after ABX, due to my age we checked FSH/TSH and they are normal, i feel horrible, currently being prescribed steroids high dose for 6 days, no help after 1st night last night, hopefully in 5 days i'm better, but this is awful! My doctor recommended i reach out to find help with post covid groups and specialists. help! thank you, Jodi

Did you inquire about getting into the Virtual 12-Week Treatment Program? I wonder if that might be an option for your husband.

Good evening, thank you for the welcome. I'm ok. Worried about why I am feeling like this 2 months after. The burning and tingling sensation is unbearable at times. Not sure what to do. I worry is it a neurological issue? All labs are negative for other concerns. More tests? Meds? I just don't know.

Will check, wasn’t made aware of Virtual. He’s doing better but still on meds for anxiety and stress. So thankful cause was Covid and not his future mental health. Physically getting stronger.

Hi @tknipp, good question. When you first come to Mayo Clinic’s Post COVID 19 Care Clinic, you begin by meeting with a provider who completes a thorough evaluation, including discussing your medical history and current symptoms, and doing a physical examination. We use the information learned during the evaluation to help develop a personal treatment plan.

Have you already done that with the full week of appointments you just had? May I ask which Mayo location you are at?

How do I schedule my son for this clinic?

Good Evening,
Last week I was evaluated by a neurologist and referred to the Covid Clinic.
I now have an appointment scheduled for October.
I am about 450 miles away so I’m needing to know about how long I should plan on being in Rochester. What does this appointment consist of.
