Autoimmune Fatigue and/or Chronic Fatigue

@peach414144 - Did anyone explain to you why the kidneys are causing your parathyroid glands to overreact? They regulate calcium in the body. It could mean that the kidneys are letting too much calcium leave the kidneys. There is treatment for this, as far as I know.
Like many things in our bodies, it’s not in balance.

I am in a pickle and need help. Hard to believe: Just found out from new doctor in the other county: I have secondary hyperparathyroidism of renal origin. I have had hypothyroidism for 34 years and now this other one. Yes, I do have the symptoms and now I am very nervous, concerned and anxiety riddled. Trying hard to calm down. My local endochronologist did not and would not address this issue when I just saw him yesterday. It appears that somehow I must travel again to another county which I cannot afford to do on a regular basis as I have what is called "Low vision". (this means I cannot continue to drive). There is so much more that I cannot continue with this. I do not want to give up on living but what can I do now? I am embarased to post this. Please forgive me for upsetting anyone but some how I need this outlet. I have set up an appointment at Shand's for the bladder cancer doctor at the end of the month and now I know I should do the same for this new diagnosis which I will do tomorrow Monday. I know that Shand's has a service for accepted patients to be driven but because of the pandemic it has been cancelled. But what does one do with life threatening diseases like cancer and the thyroid diagnosis? It is not a good idea to wait. It is very easy to give up but so far I am a stubborn person and do not want to give up. Ideas, suggestions please?

Yes you are correct. I do not know why the doctors do not even try to educate their patients. When I present the written report they do not copy it and do not address it to the patient. Perhaps they think that an 84 year old will not live much longer anyway. I do see that it appears to be they are worn out with extra work with the people moving here to Florida and there is a need for more doctors. The waiting rooms are filled to capacity and the health workers seem harried and tired. Perhaps I am wrong but there appears to be an attitude and who am I?. I am dismissed and must leave with no answers and no referrals. I am trying to do this by myself. I do not want to complain but here we are and I am very sorry for all of this.

I think you are correct in that the doctors are overwhelmed. It seems to be easy to dismiss an old person. I’m “elderly “ but my brain is 35.
I often go in with a list- so I don’t forget- and I want answers before I leave. If there is not enough time they can make another appointment for you.
You need to go to Shands. Could there be any volunteer organizations that could offer transport? Or churches or Senior Centers?
Regarding your regular doctors, they need us with Medicare. If necessary, I would talk to Medicare about any doctor who doesn’t have time to discuss serious issues.

Yep you are right. But just even to get a person to answer or call you back takes much times (not hours but days). It has been all morning and I am still waiting to get in touch. Waiting for call backs. Could take days or more then I will call again. I will continue to perserver. Cant spell anymore. Thanks
