@metermaidman

I read that article and it is as close to what I have as I can relate. The view I get when I look out of that eye is like I have thousands of and thousands of small floaters in the eyeball. And no Dr. has offered any suggestions yet. I saw a Dr. in Marquette , Mich. last week who is trying to help and hopefully I may get a referral tomorrow from him.

@metermaidman,

I hope you are able to get a referral or perhaps you can self refer to Mayo Clinic in Rochester. We have other members from the UP of Michigan who drive to Rochester, MN.

I look forward to hearing from you. Will you let me know how the referral goes?

Thanks for writing.....so far I haven`t heard about a referral. There is a dr in Iowa who is good from what I`ve heard from this site. And I`ve thought about the Mayo clinic, but either way it is getting there to be the problem. I`ve been able to drive locally because I know the area and I travel when the traffic is light.

Could you and a friend arrange a long distance Uber? It is easy to get around Iowa City and they could meet you at the door with a wheelchair, if needed. There is also an airport nearby in Cedar Rapids.

How much does the vision problem impact your life,@zailey. Does it limit your activities much?

@hopeful33250 no its not that bad, I can manage it as I have more trouble with dry eyes than anything.

@zailey, I understand how uncomfortable dry eyes can be! I'm glad to hear that the macular pucker is not too limiting. If you can still drive and walk without falling that is good.

I would like to keep in touch with you. Will you let me know what you learn from your September appointment?

yes I will let you know.

I`ve got a referral to a cornea specialist in Green Bay, Wisconsin on August 31st at the Bay Care Eye Clinic. I still have inflammation in the eye. What I can see in my eye are the hundreds of small " floater like spots". I sure hope I can find what the problem is and have it corrected.

Thank you for the update, @metermaidman. I'm sure that you must be glad that you will be seeing a specialist and perhaps finding a way to solve this problem.

I would like to hear from you after your appointment on the 31st to see what you have learned. Will you post an update?
