I can sympathize with what you are going through as I am headed down the same road. In pain day and night. Sometimes symptoms are consistent and sometimes new ones appear. Went without a burning throat for one month, ( I have suffered for eight months), but during that time had stomach issues. Now the burning is back alongside the digestive issues. It is very scary when you don't know what tomorrow will bring. Have been to ENT, Gastro, pain mgmt, medicine mgmt for anti-depressants and Klonopin, two nerve block procedures and scopes. Having another next week. Finding it hard to not just give up. Wishing you continued strength and successful treatment for your condition.

@keetafox i did ask because that pill cam endoscopy can get into places deep in intestines and colon that other endoscopys cannot .
The Gastro Dr. ( last one , not the one that I have televisit with at Mayo in Sept ) told me no . Can’t have it done because you must show some signs of internal bleeding 🩸. Insurance won’t pay unless you fit the right criteria. So I’m sure I’ll be have the entroscopic endoscopy this next time ( goes further into your small intestines but starts like other traditional one with tube down throat, into stomach into deeper in small intestines). I seem to have so much crazy volcano 🌋 noises which cause the deep 1000’s of wet burping from small intestines. Esp after my dinner is fully digested ( I eat at 5:30 pm ) it starts like 4-7 am bad !!
All I know is I’m sick of 7 years of this life . I’ll keep you posted on my Televisit Sept 7 th . Pray 🙏 pray pray 🙏. I will for you and others suffering too .
We need answers , we need more than .. oh you have Gastritis , or GERD or Eshphogitis , or Small Hiatal Hernia or Diverticulosis ( which I have all of ). Plus 5000 deep wet belches and constant churning , grinding , loud gut . I’ve tried everything!! The only thing I take now is Ultra Pepto 1-2 x day . Doesn’t stop the belching but calms the gut for about 1/2 hour . It’s exhausting….

My Mayo Clinic Jacksonville televisit is finally coming up on Sept 7 th after 5 month wait ! This is my last resort .

Is it possible it's not GI at all, but related to the cervical spine, particularly, the upper levels? The vagus nerve runs very close to these levels. It helps regulate digestion (and breathing and heart rate).

I hate to see any of us suffering with whatever we have going on. I can't say what it is as the doctors simplify the diagnosis too much. I had thought that this upcoming scope was a Bravo procedure but I learned later on that it is not. Just an endoscopy with a few biopsies to be taken. Same old, same old. I don't expect anything constructive to come of it, but trying to remain somewhat optimistic. Someone on a post commented that nothing can be done for my symptoms except a strict acid watchers diet. That is so depressing to me and not helpful in my current state of mind. I think it ironic that most people hope for no significant findings when they have a procedure. Sadly, we hope they will find something so at least we know what we're dealing with. All the best to you when you have yours done. Mine is Thursday and I will post results one way or the other. In the meantime, prayers for all of us who struggle.

Thank you for your comments. Whenever, I eat anything with salt and don't drink water, my bowel lock up in this hard stool. I am also losing weight. I only eat baked chicken and veggies , now.

It is so strange. I went to the ER and they discovered that I had digestion. The doctor discovered this after giving me a GI cocktail. But, my bowels are still locked up. They prescribed 2 meds: for indigestion : famotidine (Pepcid) and sucralfate (Caralfate) and 1 for my stool ,polyethylene MIRALAX. now I trying to get these meds. I felt good after taking the cocktail.

@saygirl i have opposite problem, loose dark stool or diarrhea. The gas my body produces is 1000 x more than the average person .it’s non stop wet belching over 3000-4000 a day / night and constant loud churning like a volcano 🌋 erupting .
Chronic …many digestive disorders esp Gastritis / GERD / Esphogitis / small hiatal hernia / diverticulosis. It effects me everyday mostly all day and every meal . I hate eating and I eat healthy and tried every there is out there . It’s sad 😞
