Mayo Specialists Recommendation for Acute Congestive Heart Failure?
My father has been diagnosed with "Acute on chronic systolic congestive heart failure (HRC)". I would like to find a specialist at Mayo who specializes in this form of heart failure. There are many physicians listed as having heart failure knowledge but is there any way to find a specialist for his condition? Thank you.

Hello @hjsmith, Welcome to Connect. I think Mayo Clinic is a really good choice to help your treat your father's heart condition because of their multidisciplinary teamwork, physician-led governance, and patient-centered culture. As a Mayo patient myself, I've seen this teamwork and patient center focus many times. Here is some information on Heart failure care at Mayo Clinic you may find helpful - https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/heart-failure/care-at-mayo-clinic/mac-20373154.
If you go to the Heart failure - Doctors and departments page, you can click on a specialty and then see the doctors listed for the specialty.

Has your father's doctor recommended or suggested any specific treatment?
My husband was seen by Dr. Leslie Cooper, who has a specialty in CHF when he was diagnosed w/ early congestive heart failure. Fortunately, he was able to keep his condition from progressing. He’s an excellent physician
