Sotarol...good or bad?

Could complete heart block be caused by sotorol?now have pacemaker,should sotorol still be taken?to help with the afib?

I am sorry that your husband is having such a hard time. Has he been diagnosed with total heart blockage, or are you just worried about the side effects of the medication?

My husband has A fib with erratic heart beat (per EKG) and is scheduled to have sotalol loading procedure in 1 week. 3 days in hospital while receiving meds via IV. then on 3rd day electric shock the heart. Anticipate continuing with sotalol orally. Any experiences?

I have been on Sotolol since early February. I was having episodes of afib about every 2 months that would last about 2 weeks (was being treated with Eliquis and Multaq). Was admitted to hospital for 3 days to watch EKG as Sotolol was administered orally and all was fine. Since then, no afib and no (noticeable) side effects. I have other arrhythmias (PAC’s and PVC’s). The Sotolol did not help those, but I wasn’t expecting that. I say two thumbs up for Sotolol so far.
