Yes, although I did not worry but wondered if there would be an interaction between the two (vaccine and dye). I was helped by info. from others who had experience both. Thanks for asking.
It may not be required to have eye shots, we'll see what the Dr. says. I've already had cataracts removed and lenses implanted years ago.
@mcelfresh06- Ah. Well the best of luck. Please let us know how this turns out for you.
Mcelfresh06, I used to get eye injections, and I always went in to the appointment with the expectation that I would need one. But, I was sure happy when the retina special would say, "Not today".
I have not had any dye treatment because my vein leakage at the back of my eye was visible on scans that he used. I was usually scheduled for a series of 4 injections that were spaced at varying intervals.
I am sure that your husband will be a big support for you. I hope you don't intend to drive yourself, because he will most likely refuse to do the injection in that case.

To all good people who asked for a reply after my retina Dr. visit, I was happy to hear that so far I did not need eye dye or eye shots. What I do have is my age related Maculer denigration is growing worse and the cause of my problem. The Dr. said I would not go blind in the one eye but site would diminish to not being able to see fine print or small items (how small I don't know). I was just happy to still have my site.
You must be relieved! I am happy for you to get this good report.
Will you be having any follow up appointments with your ophthalmologist? Has he recommended any low vision aids like magnifiers, lighting, large print materials?
Yes, I follow with the retina Dr. in 4 months and the ophthalmologist at least yearly. Yes the Dr. did recommend large print, magnifiers, more intense lighting. I've driven for my husband when he gets the shots and we will have to be careful that both of us aren't dilated at the same visit so one of us can drive. Thanks again for your interest.
Hello @katbaloo100
I just read your post about the swelling of the neck glands after your 2nd COVID vaccination and the CT scan with contrast. Has the swelling diminished, now?
If you haven't done so already, I would encourage you to contact your doctor and try to sort out the reason for this swelling.
