MAC and getting the COVID vaccine
This is a wonderful team...like a real cooperativa family...we are a band of patients that strategize together...amazing. All good dialogue for “rits”...I also believe the CAT scan would be a good step...it arms the doctor with evidence.
I have another question for the group...what are the feelings on “us” being candidates for the Covid vaccine? Has anyone yet vaccinated? I see my ID doc this afternoon...it is one of my concerns. Any feedback appreciated.

Sue, you always share valuable content. I slid the soapbox on stage with my question, so don’t apologize. All the commentary has helped me center my thoughts and cement my plans. I appreciate everyones contributions.
My ID doc offered me “no information or opinion worth repeating”...I am waiting for notification from the local healthcare center in my area.

Thank you Sue I agree with you, but as you realise after we give the flu vaccine it starts wearing off after 4 months and declines every month after, this covid vaccine has not been fully investigated by Scientists, as yet, lets be very cautious, and let the elderly and health workers have it wait and see 3 years on
@cmi You'll notice I changed the title. I did this to make it easier for members to find the discussion.
Hello all;
Just want to ask if anyone heard of a serious side effect for people with MAC getting Pfizer vaccine. Thanks
all depends on platletes and your immune system
r0nald...I get immune system...but why do you mention platlets?
Ive had the first shot of the Moderna vaccine. I have limited ability to produce IgG (gamma globulin) and infuse other people's pooled plasma once a week, and peole in that category do not necessarily have immune reactions-- I did not react to pneumonia vaccine, but I had great reaction to tetanus recently. So who knows if I will produce antibodies.

She has not cited any evidence to back herself up for what she is saying. All rhetoric and sensationalism. But this is not a political platform. So why are we even discussing this?
I have MAC and got my first Pfizer dose with no serious side effects, only a sore arm. I have my second dose on Feb. 2 . I’ll still wear a mask and be careful, but it is a great relief. The mask has kept me healthy for almost a year; no cough, no pneumonia, no viruses of any kind.
