@lolaemma Sadly, no. You could check your local bar association for the name of a lawyer or legal counsel. If you have a Grey Law office near you, they might assist, or Area Agency on Aging. I drafted my own and had it reviewed by the Family Law Self-Help Center at the county courthouse where I was living.

Thank you ginger but I enjoyed doing the response and. following filings myself. I'm. OCD and retired Auditor. In fact I'm getting organized to set up and prepare my income declaration. However until I get a response from the Ca Bar assoc. I can't.get any info about a QDRO. I read a completed example and reluctantly admit the legal jargon is beyond me. The court has been closed for months during this time I discovered proof that there has been one and likely a second attempt to circumvent my standing. I.am going to check with CalPers online to find if there's a new publication for the documentation needed. Again until the Bar Assoc gets caught up I don't know what help is available. I filed a complaint after I read the full website regulations and am encouraged that providing the details of the first attempt and the lawyer's info of which they are aware includes his three suspensions and a fine. I'm excited about the prospect of a challenge to test my abilities. All my blood work came back good and my fatigue has subsided since I get more solid sleep. Tonight a text came that I can get an appt to see an neck orthopedic Dr. All encouraging news. Thanks

I have trouble sleeping as my mind doesn't seem to turn off. I did notice that when I took higher doses of Melatonin I would get vivid nightmares. Now take 3 mg which works better. Another is spray my pillows and sheets lightly with lavender mist which seems to help.

Wow talk about different things for different people. I started with 5mg melatonin and doubled it very soon after. I have sleep apnea use a BiPap and had no problem going to sleep or going back to sleep after getting up for the first twenty years. Ive taken several. Sessions on relaxation breathing. I tried CBD OIL and gummies. Finally I bought a OTC melatonin and b6 and calcium supplement. Three weeks and te effect wore off around 4am just as the two previous ones. I found something that has worked for a month so far it's Nature's Bounty Sleep3 I never gave much credance to herbs but here's a long list of them everything Is ever heard suggested plus
Melatonin 10mg. I take it with my night meds and go to bed. I use deep breathing to relax and fall asleep. So far
my daytime fatigue is abating and I'm more alert and
accomplish more. My frequent apneas used to wake me
briefly now I don't notice. I allowed myself to be
medicated for decades and my mental health and acuity is sharper. Now if the pandemic would abate I'd like to be
around more people.

@lolaemma You don't have nightmares from that high dose of melatonin? I have read that many people do if they take a dose over 3mg. I use that occasionally and also use Benadryl.

I have a new PCP and we talked about that. I don't like using Benadryl much. She said the effects of inadequate sleep are worse than the effects of Benadryl! I do find it very helpful. I need to take it a couple of hours before I go to bed though or it takes me a while to not be groggy in the morning.

No I don't have nightmares since I escaped an emotionally abusive marraige. I don't take anything for anything other than atorvastatin blood thinner 10mg monteluecast 70 mg nonallergic rhinitis Dulera and Mometasone both to assist my breathing. The supplements are vitamins recommended by a nutritionist and the previously stated Sleep3. I have very pleasant dteams. Varied having fun eating wonderful meals having conversations with interesting people reliving some terrific performance or show. I'm thrilled to be free of the stress and responsibility for others. I'm aware that is not the case for others on this website but it's my belief that each person needs to come to their own on their own. Easier said than done I recognise.

One thing that has helped with snoring is to put a postage size piece of medical tape over your lips when you sleep. I read about this in the book Breath and it is working for us. Our snoring has reduced and we are having less wakefullness with sleep. It took about 7-10 days to adjust, but it works. Don't cover your entire mouth/lips, just a vertical piece of medical tape below nose to chin.

@jal333 What an interesting idea. I use a CPAP mask, sometimes my mouth opens which causes me dry mouth and may disrupt my sleep. I was thinking about getting a chin strap, maybe I'll try the tape first (though my wife will probably be scared I might somehow manage to swallow it). What type of tape are you using? The thick brown tape or something thin like Micropore (https://www.amazon.com/Micropore-Surgical-Tape-Yards-Dispenser/dp/B00ICF3TG2 )?

I am currently using a tape found in the first aid section at CVS. Works fine. It's not easy to get surgical tape. I use a long thin strip from just under my nose to close to my chin. It does not come undone during the night and I do it last thing before I fall asleep. I learned of this technique in a book reviewed on Fresh Air/NPR with Terry Gross. The book is called Breath, by James Nestor.

Micropore works fine. I don't mind the narrow strip, my husband like a little wider strip. I do not COVER my entire lip area, just from nose to chin..sort of.
