Hello there,
I’m very curious why you were prescribed such a powerful medication for a supposedly minor problem. Would you be willing to share your diagnosis at the time this medication was prescribed. Although I’m not familiar with any off label use for this medication I suppose there may be some however being an antipsychotic it’s primarily used for mental and mood disorders. Also do you currently have heart failure? What is your current Cardiac diagnosis and do you know your ejection fraction?
I imagine you’re already aware that there are Cardiovascular side effects. I don’t know if those are those are dose related or to the length of use or what.
The one thing I am sure of is that I personally would never use an anti-psychotic medication unless I had a serious illness and was absolutely convinced that I required that particular type of medication.
Wishing you the the best,
Jake

i dont know why you think its such a powerful drug especially 1 mg as compared to average given 12-24 mg and of why , well when your told by an unscrupolous "MD Psychologist" its ok you tend to believe it when you dont have time to "investigate it"

I was pointed to this board and moderator for the following : This is not so much about any psychotic issue as it is for information about the stopping of a drug that is published with serious heart contraindictions after 8 years of takeing and wondering if that will help lower my ekg Qtc and help raise my heart EF in not taking it. Furthermore the main fact(s) needed are: Does this drug Fanapt/iliperidone 1 mg though low dose per day build up in the liklihood of the published bad effects to the heart actually taking place in the system and built up after 360 days x 8 years x 1 mg. and what actually are the facts about this.

Are you planning to taper off the medication?

It looks to me like if any benefits are far outweighed by the contraindictions. I just would like and need a reliable or normal professional knowledge advice. This is a very important to my health situation and decisions. thank you
