@cynthiajewell7 Here is how we have handled nebulizer tubing for over 30 years:
Let the compressor run for 5 minutes with the mouthpiece detached.
Biweekly I wash the hose in hot soapy water, then soak in alcohol for 15 minutes, and after shaking out the liquid, dry with the compressor. I use alcohol because it dries out easily, if you want to avoid it, you could do a full-strength vinegar soak instead.
I have always replaced tubing and mouthpiece every 6 months, but now am thinking to up that to every 3 months. If I was concerned about humidity and moisture remaining, I would probably up the alcohol soak to weekly and definitely replace at 3 months.
Edited to add - my Mom, myself & both kids, my brother as well as numerous nieces and nephews, are/were asthmatic. In addition, Mom had bronchiectasis, no doubt from 40 years of exposure to paper dust and printing chemicals. I also have bronch, and so does my 40 yo daughter. So we have had LOTS of experience with nebulizers, beginning with one that weighed about 12 lb and cost $600 back in the 1980's.

Mine also is a Pari Vios with the green body. Works fine; never misses a beat.

Thank you so much for that info. I have never washed my tubing nor ever read about doing that and didn’t know the tubing could be cleaned. I will start doing that because it has been a concern of mine. I am so careful to disinfect the nebulizer but have never cleaned the tubing. I appreciate your help.

I have always erred on the side of caution, figuring if one must neb, there is already a problem with the lungs. Another option is to replace the tubing frequently, for a while I had a ready source of disposable nebulizer mouthpieces with their own tubing, and replaced every couple weeks - since they were meant for only a few uses they weren't very durable and they broke easily. Once that supply ended I order several at a time on line, they're pretty inexpensive. Sue

My saline comes with its own cup pari alc and tubing. I use my aerobika most of the time

Do you dose with 7 twice or once a day? I was told that the benefit of 3% was that could be used twice a day. It certainly empties me.

The ct scan is a picture of its progression. Are there bigger cavities? Or have they stayed the same.
