systane eye drops work best for me. Once in morning once at night before bed. They are much better. I can use more as needed but that usually only an occasional time during the day especially when windy.
@xsk8er I have dry eyes also and just got a recall on my phone about eye drops made by Altieri pharmacy . There is a batch that is unsterile . Dont know what kind of drops these are just made by this pharmacy

T U again! I guess it makes sense to put preservative free drops in refrigerator. Never thought of that. I do keep my vile for 1 or 2 days since I do not use it all! Guess that is counterproductive? Again, when it comes to meds, I always think less is more. However, I have proven that theory to be wrong and yet I always feel I need to experiment first.

@tennisgolf I have used my preservative free drops for years . I dont keep them in refreg. or throw vial out till empty . I just recap it make sure not to touching the tips . .
Not sure it's so important. But my dry eye likes it. The 1% makes for a thicker consistency eye drop. In the 70's, the very first eye drop I used was Isopto Tears 1% which was the same formulation.

I've had dry eyes for years due to 9 eye surgeries from the age of 3 onward. I found that Similasan dry eye relief eye drops are soothing. However, because of lung problems I have in the last 3 months have started running a vaporizer and found my dry eyes have gone down exponentially! If you all have one, just try running it and see if it helps. Be sure the unit is clean.

I use Restasis twice a day. My brother-in law, an ophthalmologist, said to use Sistane in between or Zaditor which he said to refrigerate.

What I like about Refresh Celluvisc is the 1% Hydroxypropl methylcellulose. Optiva has .5%.

Maybe. It is a more viscous eyedrop. Just the one my dry eye seems happy with.
