He is getting surgery tomorrow to remove mass have no idea if cancerous- assuming they will send off - doc said removal may”jump start his kidney which he was unaware is not functioning.. he had prostate cancer and has brach treatment i believe - that cancers gone but i have been reading that having had radiation for it may lead to bladder cancer - anyone experience this?

Dads doing ok so far- tired sleeps alot and not well at night- feeling fluey- still manages to get to work as they need him which im positive helps him- wish he would go out more but guess you have to watch being around people going through this. I am really saddened to think after all this he still has to have his bladder removed. He is concerned about it as anyone will be -im praying for a miracle- if not theres purpose in it but it seem so drastic.

@formydad Thank you for checking in with us and letting us know how your dad is doing. I'm certain many of us have been concerned and wondering. What are you and the rest of the family doing for support for yourselves? Is there any type of support group that is available from the hospital or clinic, for family members and caregivers? Is your dad and everyone else getting your questions answered?

@formydad Hello, again. I’m glad we’ve heard from you. I know that you and your Mom and Dad are on a rough road. I’m so glad your Dad is able to go to work! I’m sure it helps lift his spirits. Maybe we can get @tattrigoo and @john0416 to answer some of your questions as they went through the same experience. Please stay in touch. Becky

I come here for my support - and i trust God. mom n i talk - dad too when he feels like it- i text him a lot especially on treatment days to let him know im thinking about him- i visit but hes sleeping a lot- i just sometimes wonder if he will go through with it or just take his chances without the surgery. I dont really know what he’ll do im sure its crossed his mind. Time will tell and soon will be water under the bridge. I know he’s not the only one been or going through it and thats comforting. I send him all the advice and info i get and try to be wncouraging as i can 🙂

@formydad Knowing that you are there for him means a lot to him, even if he is sleeping. How blessed your parents are to have you, and see that the way you were raised plus who you are is a real gift to them, especially now! We're here for you, we care.

I’m so glad to hear from you today. I’ve been thinking about you. How have your dad, and mother, and you been doing with the chemotherapy so far? Any bad side effects?

He has Been ok he’s had lots of nausea but took pill for it - but then he cant sleep cause pill causes insomnia so he’s making decisions between sleep n nausea. He has something on his face dry spot or something by his eye he asked chemo doc he said oh prob something from chemo😳 - but never said what it was... my moms been putting lotion on it... i asked how his apt went today but never heard back form mom or dad. I know sure theres a lot to consider either way. My mom struggles with him not telling her things like how hes feeling but they work through it- she finally said please just tell me if you need anything because i am asking you too much i know 🙁
