"Why bother?" What can we do when we are stuck?
This has been brought up before in things that help. Now maybe some can share how we get out of a rut to help ourselves. We all get stuck stuck at times. Curious as to what others do when stuck in that thought mode of "Why Bother?"

can not shake sadness . No one to turn to. Age & loss of my facultiies is scary I will see my MD. I am on meds for many things, depression- anxiety . But not much good. Best to ALL . I am grateful for 46 great years with my sweet husband RIP HWR
Hi @dianrib-- I feel your pain as if it were my own and wish I could find words to ease it for you. It must be so hard to lose your husband after so many years. Please know though that you do have people to turn to and who care about you even though we cannot see each other. Is it possible that your concern about your mind is as a result of depression rather than some form of dementia?
Please keep in touch with us at Connect and let us try to support you as you are going through this very difficult time-we really are here for you my friend!
Best Wishes
Ainsleigh
@dianrib A big cyber hug my friend yes we are here to listen
Thanks Anything is possible Could be stress or depression. Hope thats all. Miss my old self...
Thanks for your concern . I never knew life could change so drastically . Kudo's to those dealing with much pain, stress, illness, grief, etc I admire you all .
@dianrib I have been experiencing memory issues from my medications, and it is very frustrating. It's mostly short term memory issues, or just getting stuck with things like names of people I definitely know. It is very frustrating at times, but when I alter my medications I have problems with my depression and anxiety. If I was confident that other medication would lessen this for me I would risk trying a switch, but I am otherwise doing very well with my Lexapro and Abilify combination. I'm not sure what to do other than I will bring it up with my psychiatrist. My heart goes out to you.
@dianrib You will get her back again it,'ll take a village we are part of that. But you,'ll have to help yourself by seeing your Dr first .
Don't hold back from him/her that way they,'ll know how to help you
@dianrib Like the others have said, you are going through so much. Stress and missing your long time partner can cause medications to not work the same as they were. I hope that you can be seen by your Dr soon. Are you keeping a journal to write down what you feel, or how things are triggering for you? That will be helpful not only for you, but for the Dr. Do you have a trusted friend or family member who you can lean on face-to-face? We are here around the cyber table for you. Sending hugs of support,
Ginger
