Happy Holidays

December is the month of holidays. I hope that those of Jewish faith, had a wonderful Hannukah celebration. For those of you who celebrate Christmas, I wish you a merry one. For all others, peace and goodwill. I am posting this sparkling tree to symbolize all of us. Each light on the tree represents each of us. Together, we shine!

2019 Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Holidays! Another year is coming to an end. Many of us on here have been cyber sisters for a long time now. Some of us have gotten better, some are still in the battle. Thank you all for being here to support one another. It means a lot to so many. If you have noticed that I have been scarcely online; it is because I am working on a home renovation project. Please know that you all are never far from my thoughts though. I'd love to hear how you are spending your holidays. What's up?

Yes, I truly appreciate this group-most of what I know regarding bronchiectasis and MAC I have learned here! My insurance is approving a visit to Mayo in Rochester for a second opinion regarding treating or not. Praying for good weather as it is in mid January! Happy Holidays to all.

Wishing all a very Happy, Joyous and Healthy Holiday Season. Since my children are spread around the globe, (Australia and California), this is the FIRST time ever I will go out to eat on Christmas Eve with my sister and her husband. (Her children will be spending Christmas Eve with their in-laws). It will be very strange indeed since either she or I have cooked since after my mom passed away. Christmas Day will be at my niece’s house with the great-nieces and nephews. I hope this New Year will bring peace, joy and healing to all.

Hmm...I would be very sad to not cook - just put the finishing touches on our Christmas Eve dinner - more like a brunch - so we can concentrate on the guests when they arrive. Tomorrow will be what my niece calls "heavy appetizers" with extended family as we host open house from the afternoon into evening. Hope that, unlike last year, I will have no big surprises. I planned for 15 and we hosted nearly 30 -what a surprise, but so much fun! We are very fortunate to have some family nearby, and even more who believe they must travel (from both coasts) to chilly Minnesota for the holiday. They are braver than I, traveling by air with small children at the holiday...we actually travel back here from Texas well before Christmas so we can avoid the rush and prepare.
I am really excited for this holiday - for the first time in 3 years I not ill, and even beginning to have a little energy. I just hope no one brings any bugs to share.

@thumperguy, My apologies Don. Let me rephrase that. Cyber sisters, and a few cyber brothers.

@rmason, I am so glad that you will be seen at Mayo in Jan. Please report back if you don't mind and let me know what they think.

@sueinmn, So glad you feel good now and are back to enjoying family and entertaining. I still don't have the energy for that kind of undertaking.

@windwalker Hey Cyber Sister! We are staying around home this year, having all the family to ours on Xmas Day with lots of yummy food! As it is summer here we will be having lots of beach walks with the dog. Looking forward to Hearing from everyone else though, what about you windwalker

@heathert, Ahhh...walking on the beach! How nice. It is chilly here. It was 29° (like -2 celcius) here this morning. We have been 'camping out' in a rental home that I own 7 hrs away from where I live. It is located in my hometown where I grew up. My long time tenant passed away this past Oct. so we took this opportunity to refurbish the place. I know I have no business doing this with all of the dust and fumes, but I can't help myself. I love to fix up places. I am exhausted right now, so we had a low key xmas. My hubby made a nice steak dinner for three (my daughter came over) and we had our gift exchange. Good stuff, too! I gave my chef hubby an All Clad 10" fry pan. He thought he had died and gone to heaven! He cooked our steaks in it tonight and reported it made all the difference in the world. It was fun!
