@rosemarya @jodeej Thank you, Rosemary and JoDee.

I too wish all a happy and healthy holiday season and a joyful New Year. I hope and pray that all who are still waiting will have their hopes fulfilled in the coming year, and that those of us who have had transplants continue to be healthy with our beautiful new organs.

Greetings! In my nightly prayer, I ask that He provide a clear path for all patients and thank Him for the progress we have at UCSF with Dr. Shuvo Roy’s “kidney “project”. It does appear to me, to be a miracle. Bless everyone.

@rosemarya Thank you for this sentiment. I am the wife of a kidney recipient. To all those waiting for an organ, may you have peace in heart that "the right one" is out there for you. To those who are living donors, thank you for the gift you unselfishly gave. To those who lost a friend or family member, and people received organ or tissue donations as a result, please know that we understand the pull of feelings in time of grief. To those who received an organ, may you have love in your heart for the gift, and strive to honor it each day.

Holiday greetings to all of you as well! This group really helped me through my donation journey. I just passed my six month follow up check up with flying colors. My husband (and recipient) is experiencing rejection issues however, and that is very stressful. The Mayo doctors are adjusting his meds, and we pray that the changes will help. Thanks for all the support these last 6 months!

@triciaodonnell Tricia, that's wonderful that you were a donor for your husband, but I am sure quite distressing that he is experiencing rejection issues. I hope they manage to get that under control. When I questioned my surgeon about what would happen if rejection occurred, he just told me not to worry, that they would take care of it, so I trust that they would. What were your husband's symptoms that led them to discover that he was having issues? It's been two years and three months for me now and no problems but they say that no matter how long it has been, rejection can occur. At this point, I worry more about catching something than I do rejection.

@triciaodonnell So sorry to hear of this concern. It must be scary! My husband is 26 months out from kidney transplant. I worry more than he does, about rejection. Keeping you both close in prayer.
