Chest pain, thoracic pain, intermittent

Posted by Brenda R. @brigby, Nov 16, 2018

Hello everyone,

I am curious about how much deep chest and/or upper back pain everyone experiences, and if you notice it increases with an exacerbation? I have it nearly all the time now, but other wise I am relatively asymptomatic. I reported it to my pulmo at Stanford, and she dismissed it. My CT scan in June showed improvement. We are not treating with the big 3, even though now I have NTM abscessus in my lungs in addition to MAC, and all kinds of lovely infections (MRSA, m. Abscessus, acintobacter Baumanii) in my sinuses. How many of you have nagging chest and back pain?

@margiebanks Cold sensation - that is a great description. I described it that way to my doctor at Stanford and she said she had not heard that before. I wonder sometimes!

@brigby.. Only a bronchoscopy can tell. My lungs were completely filled with mucus and tested positive for candida which they don't treat anymore, so I bought Candida Cleanse and next bronch was clear, but for the damaged areas.Have you had fundiplication surgery? The gastro people go through many tests and can then treat the GERD more effectively, but they don't cover the throat.Look up Dr. jamie Koufman and her books on acid reflux.
