CBD Oil

Posted by suemer @suemer, Sep 11, 2018

Has anyone tried this for pain? My daughter-in-law is waiting for steroid injections as she has 2 buldging disks in her back and a torn ligament. Her doctors prescribed Tylenol and Tylenol 3. Did not work. CBD Oil has made a difference. She swears by it! Anyone else tried it?

The price for CBD is ridiculous! It would be like selling distilled corn oil or soybean oil for these prices. It's just a food and industrial crop!!! I am hoping with congress passing a law allowing the legalization of growing hemp earlier this year the price will drop after the next growing season. I can buy hemp grown in other countries for nutrition, for example a hemp protein and fiber powder sold at Walmart and also hulled hemp seeds and these products are reasonably priced. My hemp fiber powder is the same price as psyllium (be prepared to taste kelp when swallowing) and the hemp has more good nutritional benefits. These products are grown in Canada. Like you, can't say CBD oil has helped with pain, but I am primarily taking it to reduce inflammation which causes eczema. Presently all 4 forms of my eczema are in remission. Is this just a coincidence, probably as eczema comes and goes, yet ................ Also like you because of price may be taking less than needed for pain relief. I have learned to live with pain because of pain meds raising my blood pressure, even with bp medication. I have been without my Aleve for 9 months now, it's just my new reality.

There is much misinformation and confusion out there about there about CBD. For example, CBD oil is not simply hemp oil. People selling it don't always care about what you don't know, just that you buy what they are selling. Don't believe anything anyone sends you in the mail (a solicitation) . I have an aunt that has spent a small fortune based on what health hucksters have advertised - no more of that!

@marthaellen

hello, I did try it, from 3 different suppliers, as did my son, for joint pain, not much difference, tylenol worked better for me, which is not much, but the cost was not sustainable, $50-70 was outrageous, I thought, so I am not a proponent. MARTHA

Watch for internet specials. Cannabadiol Life is a good place to start. Just bought 1500mg gummies (60 x25mg) for $50.

Yes, I use daily for my knee after having a total knee replacement. It certainly helps for sure. I highly recommend, use the highest dose you can find.

Does it help with back and neck pain to get off the pain meds

My sister had knee surgery and after using CBD oil for a month she is not experiencing any improvement. What strength do you use and what is your dose? I find taking more than 4-5 drops daily of the 1000 mg isolate makes me too mellow and I'm not as productive. I've never used a tranquilizer, perhaps that is the effect it has on me. I now take mainly at night to minimize this and must admit I sleep deeper.

@gardeningjunkie did you find something for you sister? I've been studying the different CBD oils and have discovered that if it's not water soluble, you will only absorb an average of 3 to 6%. I've been taking Zilis UltraCell that has been tested by the Mayo Clinic and it has an absorption rate average of 85 to 94%. It's also full spectrum which makes all the difference. Maybe that's what she needs? If you're interested, let me know. I ended up joining when I felt how much it was helping me and it has changed my world. My anxiety is completely gone and so is the pain!!

I'll keep that brand in mind you have provided useful information Right now using up a bottle of isolate and I agree that the full spectrum is more effective and even though it just has trace amounts of THC I do feel "brighter" and "happier" after I use it. Not at all a drug high like with MJ. With the isolate no mood change, yet necessary if one is subject for drug testing. I will go back to the full spectrum. I am hoping that with the legalization of hemp growing in the US in 2018 hemp will become an abundant crop and the prices will drop.I see Zillis is for sale on the internet, yet confused since you mentioned joining. Is that for a better price? I noted the online prices were comparable to what I have paid for other products which are oil based.
