I agree with @merpreb that there have been many advances made in the treatment of lung cancer. Once your father's cancer team have determined the type and stage of cancer, you and they will be better informed about the best treatment options. I also suggest that you discuss the use of CBD oil with them to be sure that it is not contraindicated (lessen the effect of) any treatment he will receive.
My dad is recently diagnosed with lung cancer. Still pending some biopsy results. I am wanting to get him started on CBD oil. Any suggestions on where to start? I am going at this totally blind. Thanks in advance!
Everyone can say this isn't the way to go or that there is no data on therapeutic effect with cannabis, but I will say this, until you have cancer and a grim future to look forward to, you will never understand the power of hope, I don't care what it is, if you have cancer and something gives you hope, relaxation, great sleep and a number of other benefits, why the hell wouldn't you try it, i would never tell a person with cancer not to try to feel better. There is people that say it cured them, so who are we to dispute that claim.

@cam729- Hope is the magic elixir of cancer. I agree. I think that just to be safe is to make sure it doesn't interfere with anything you are already taking. We don't need to make anything worse. How are you doing
I am looking for a company to buy from, please forward the company you are using at this time, the last one I tried said to mix with water and drink, but you are to put it under your tongue for 15 minutes , and do not drink for up to 45 minutes later, god bless you.
this is why I tell all the people I can that have copd to look into ZEPHER VALVES this is the latest thing I heard to breath better, pass it on if you can help anyone else.

There have been recent news stories about the potential promise of CBD and/or THC oil and fighting lung cancer, such as these news stories:
https://abcnews.go.com/Health/Healthday/story?id=4506595&page=1
https://metro.co.uk/2018/03/25/could-cannabis-help-cure-lung-cancer-this-man-thinks-so-and-hes-already-spent-1-5m-on-research-7266643/
However, you'll note that both articles are quick to point out that any potential positive effects have only been studied in petri dishes or on mice in a laboratory (in vitro). This is not the same as testing and discovering positive effects in humans. So far CBD/THC is still less effective than current drugs and dosages have not been tested or proven.
Here is more information about studies done so far in vitro from the National Cancer Institute: https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/treatment/cam/hp/cannabis-pdq#section/_7 (medical professional version)

Do you know what type of lung cancer he has?
I had quite the opposite feeling. The chest loose up as I took CBD or THC sublingual.
@cheung- That is excellent that you can take either substance. However a lot of people do have a problem relaxing with THC. I know that I do.
@sam324robinette- I'm just checking in to see if your dad has had a biopsy yet. How are you doing?
