Pulsatile tinnitus
Started getting heart beat sounds in right ear only. Got an MRA to check the arteries (no results yet). Strangely the sounds start in the evening and continue when I go to bed. I have no idea why it's quiet during the day. Has anyone else had this experience. If my arteries are okay in my brain then I have to look for other causes. Any ideas. I checked medication side effects but that doesn't seem to be the cause. One night I exercised in the evening and I had no sounds, but that didn't work yesterday. I'm perplexed.

Am so very glad that I read the msg. about Wooshers..... just came from that page and feel like I'm not alone with this problem. No one that I know has ever\ experienced it. All with this problem should visit Wooshers.....so relieved to know there are even some that have been cured.
Hi,
For entire year, every second of the day I heard whooshing in my ear to my heart beat. Found a neurosurgeon in NYC who did an MRV & MRA. Found lots of vascular congestion due to the fact my jugular had been sutured closed due to complications from a procedure years ago. Also indicated what appeared to be the fistula. Went back for angiogram of head to fully confirm. The morning of the angiogram the whooshing stoped and the angiogram indicated the jugular had opened up and the fistula was gone ( spontaneous regression). Hope that helps. Try to find a neurosurgeon that is familiar with fistulas and the repair. Hope that helps!
Thank you for your info and I am truly very happy for you to have found relief
OOPOS, I meant Whooshers.
Thank you, Morning Glory!
Thank you for the Whooshers .com onformation. It gives one hope. At the moment, my blood pressure is quite high and I have an appointment with my cardiologist in 4 days and my internist im two weeks and I will be discussing with both the possibilities I have learned from Whooshers . . . most particularly their plan for me to just accept the situation! I cannot accept the constant pounding, which does coincide with my heart beat. Makes you worry about running on the treadmill!!!!
