I have diabetic Neuropathy. Anyone have experience with CBD oil for diabetic neuropathy?
The pain is in the balls of my feet and toes.
It came on after a 70 kilometer walk over 4 days. Both feet at the same time and started with pins and needles..3 years later now and it's just pain.
Raw burning sensation and worse when I walk but OK when I sleep or feet up.
It hasn't spread but I'm desperate. Tried everything..Lyrica has too many side effects..
Manessen1, What side effects did you have with Lyrica? I'm taking it and I haven't noticed any so far ... I want to pay attention. I read here that some people had side effects with gabapentin too. I didn't have any with that, I got to the maximum dose as condition got worse, then neurologist changed me to Lyrica. I didn't have any problem stopping gabapentin, no 'detox' or rebound. Peggy
Took your suggestion and got a container. Got a very slight numbing of the pain. However, the relief lasts only for 25 to 30 minutes.
Keep the suggestions coming.

I took it for several months.
Side effects were a dull headspace. Didn't feel like I had any clear thoughts. Pain was helped 15-20%.
Decided to live with the pain and have a clear head.
I understand Gabapentin is a very similar drug.

I am a "newbie" from down under, G'day all. I got CIPN about 18 months ago after chemo-therapy which had left me with painful hand cramps and virtually crippled my fingers. I recently imported a small quantity of CBD Isolate powder from outside Australia. I have been conducting a very nonclinical trial by dipping a party-pick in honey and then into the isolate once per day. (50-150mg) The result has been amazing. Not a single cramp since I started. There is definitely no THC component which is banned in the exporting country. I will report progress.

@arismac - did you also try other therapies prior to the CBD isolate powder? If so, did you see any results from them?
Happy New Year, Lisa and all in the community. I was offered Lyrica® (pregabalin) but after a previous adverse experience I rejected the drug. Oncologists in Australia seem to be of the opinion that a six month course 13 treatments of Fluorouracil and folinic acid are standard procedure with colorectal cancer. I was not aware that I may have a bad reaction but the CIPN symptoms were minor until about treatment 11 and then they got worse very rapidly.
Australia is just getting started on clinical trials of CBD after lengthy legal delays. I have volunteered to participate but the costs of prescription CBD are very high. So acting on a lead in this forum I obtained the CBD and so far the results are positive. I perhaps should repeat that I am taking CBD Isolate powder orally not using the oil topically. I currently do not have access to oil.
I will also mention that my carcinoma journey is a little different with it's origions in me being subjected to several exposures of around 100 MsV of non-iodising radiation in my late teens and early twenties for the treatment of acne vulgaris while a member of the defense forces in Australia
@arismac - you may also be interested in participating in our Colorectal Cancer group https://connect.mayoclinic.org/group/colorectal-cancer. Are you still planning to participate in the CBD trial you'd mentioned you volunteered for, or are you planning on maintaining the isolate powder instead?

3 years ago MD prescribed dose was 100mg. I took 50. Cant recall exactly what they were. But I had to stop first day

Thanks ! It doesn't make me dull, but then, everyone seems to have different reactions to this condition and the various meds for it - it's complex.
