Suggestions for improving medication adherence
Low adherence to our medications as a result of forgetfulness is an issue that most of us are dealing with. I have found many different solutions to it. However, I want to know what has been the most effective adherence solution for you and what is your suggestion?

I have a cell phone (actually six years old and quite primitive) that has an "alarm" on which I enter the times during the day I need to take my eye drops and medication. It also has a calendar on which I enter dates of doctor and/or medical appointments.
@ladybugmg @johnsmith85 Great Topic as many of us forget if we took our medications. I can't tell you how many times i have had to count the pills in the bottle to see if I took a dose or not? I love the cell phone suggestion. Excellent idea. 🙂
I have to take three different eye drops (one of them three times a day) to control glaucoma so I have reminders on my cell phone alarm and put copies of the schedule on the front of the refrigerator. I use dark black ink on the schedule so it stands out. I understand that Echo has a talking reminder that can be programmed to be a reminder. You can learn more about Echo on the Internet.
Hi @johnsmith85,
I thought you might appreciate this conversation, https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/osteoporosis-20678f/ in the Bones, Joints & Muscles group, where Connect members discuss medication adherence.
May I ask what brings you to the Heart & Blood Health group, @johnsmith85? We look forward to getting to know you.
I am working on a daily written schedule /record (with a check off list) of the times I administer 10 eyes drops daily instead of just trying to remember when it is time for each one.
