Wanted: Organ Transplant Recipients Who Have Been Hit By a Car

Posted by Rosemary, Volunteer Mentor @rosemarya, Feb 26, 2018

"Are there any transplant recipients of any organ who have been hit by a car? How did you recover? What helped you to recover from the multiple injuries?
I am posting this discussion question on behalf of one of our members,
@glinda who has recently been hit by a car and asked me to do it for her. Due to multiple injuries, she may not be able to respond right now and can read your messages.
Your support and encouragement will be appreciated as she recovers.

Spring does exist! Here are some columbines that I saw blooming in the woods today on a hike. They are actually growing out of the side of a huge rock. I don’t think it matters it this is right my side up or sideways!
(it did turn out sideways. The bottom is on your right!)

Sending warm sunshine thoughts to you, Glinda.

@rosemarya You make Kentucky sound like a very appealing place, very beautiful. I believe my parents went there for part of their honeymoon trip, I can remember my mother mentioning the "blue grass" of Kentucky. If we ever do a drive south maybe we will take a route that will bring us through Kentucky.

@glinda I saw my 1st hummingbird of the spring on my feeder. A beautiful sight with the sun glimmering off the ruby throat of the male. H.ope your recovery is going well.

@parus, I grew up in Ohio, and married into Kentucky. We like being near to the mountains and forests in both Ky and TN.

High Rosemary, just wanted to give an update on me I passed my transplant exam on the first with my transplant team post accident and I got my gallbladder tube removed did not get to see the trauma surgeons on the first as they were in class for the new epic computer program that Rochester has installed it's the same system we have here in Eau Claire wi. So will seem them when I go on the 30th of this month to have my IVC filter removed and I hope they say yes to getting my stomach fixed those are the last 2 things that I need fixed. Now for the big news got the last of the braces off my feet today And I stood for the very first time on both my legs And the next big thing I did today was I WALKED 28 feet in my room with aalker on my own to legs and feet plus I pivoted with the waliker I did really good for my first time and day since my accident. I'm so proud of my self

@glinda Mid-June sounds like a great time to be back home. You have worked hard on your recovery - I'm glad that you have been encouraged by the results of that hard work.
