Wanted: Organ Transplant Recipients Who Have Been Hit By a Car
"Are there any transplant recipients of any organ who have been hit by a car? How did you recover? What helped you to recover from the multiple injuries?
I am posting this discussion question on behalf of one of our members,
@glinda who has recently been hit by a car and asked me to do it for her. Due to multiple injuries, she may not be able to respond right now and can read your messages.
Your support and encouragement will be appreciated as she recovers.

@rosemarya @glinda such good advice, so true. I also agree that we are enjoying the pictures, etc. I wish I had some creative talent.

@glinda The early bird here. Be interested in learning how the reclining wheelchair works for you. Those squirrels can be entertaining with their games and acrobatics. I did a pencil drawing of a fox squirrel a good while back...it is a vertical format and may end up horizontal, but will add as it fits with what you are saying. There is a place here in IN that has white squirrels (not albinos). Growing up on a large farm we had lots of squirrels in the 275 acres of woods-red and fox squirrels. Sounds like you are receiving excellent, caring, supportive assistance which is a blessing.
@glinda With what you are describing I would surely loose my mind...I am thankful for the folks in this community and how supportive they can be. Oh yes, and knowledge, experience and sincerity also come with the support. Yeah team!!
@parus, My son used to talk about the white (not albino) squirrels on the University of Louisville campus.
Thanks for the squirrel, Thanks for the memories about my son's college years!
Rosemary
Thank you so much I love it
@parus great drawing, so much detail! It never ceases to amaze me with how talented people like you can draw/paint so beautifully. We sure have plenty of squirrels around here but I've never seen a white one. We unfortunately have red ones at our cabin in Maine and they are really destructive and bold.

Hi rosemary, just wanted to give you an update on how it went with the reclining wheelchair it went great I was in it for an hour and got to leave my room for the first time and because of the reclining wheelchair I got to get my hair washed twice then cut then washed again then dried in the beauty salon and it felt great I feel more like myself with my hair cut and it felt good to be out of bed and go for a little ride
Glinda
@glinda great progress! It must have felt so good to get your hair washed too.
JK
Hello @glinda
Congratulations on getting into your reclined wheelchair and especially on your hair cut (another graduation!). Life is always better after a visit to the salon, isn't it?
Teresa
Yes it did now I feel more like myself I really enjoyed it and so did my daughter who was visiting me at the time
