Hi @teeco7, and welcome to Connect.

It is always best to ask your doctor about pros and cons of any supplements you may be considering. You could also refer to the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) for current information about the studies of complementary treatments. Here, for example, is information about green tea https://nccih.nih.gov/health/greentea

I'm tagging Mentor @johnbishop, who may be able to share more information. Other than information on green tea extract, may I ask what brings you to the HCM group on Connect?

Hello @teeco7 -- I would like to add my welcome to Connect along with @kanaazpereira and other members. I also think you should discuss using green tea extract with your doctor or pharmacist first to see if there may be any dangers based on any current interactions with any condition you have or medication you are taking. I have no medical training or background and I take a lot of different supplement and vitamins. I have made it a practice to at least talk with a pharmacist or my doctor if there was any question in my mind.

I have read that green tea has an ingredient that can cause arrythmia so not recommended for HCM.

What is it in green tea that can cause arrythmia? I never heard about that until today. But I am a green drinker and I do suffer a lot from arrythmia in the past few years.
