Aortic stenosis and regurgitation/leaky valve
My cardiologist has been monitoring me for about 2 years and at my last echo it was a 1.1. I have days when I'm so tired for no apparent reason to the point that I just sit in my recliner most days. Has anyone else had this problem?

@nanasova You mean the recliner or the echo....Sorry. I am in my recliner about half of all the time I am awake.
Is Aortic stenosis the same as a calcified aorta? I have had stenosis in my neck for several years and have been told recently that I have a calcified aorta.
I should have said aortic valve stenosis and regurgitation.
feeling tired w/o doing anything.

Also, I encourage you to view this information from Mayo Clinic about aortic valve stenosis: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/aortic-stenosis/symptoms-causes/syc-20353139
@nanadoris, have you told your cardiologist about the fatigue? Unfortunately, fatigue seems to be a symptom of aortic valve stenosis; may I ask if you are taking any medication that could possibly cause you to be tired, as a side effect?
have been dealing with aortic stenosis and regurgitation for years... Lately fatigue and shortness of breath are getting worse... going to see cardiac surgeon on wednesday...
Yes; I have days like that. I have severe aortic regurgitation and my cardiologists wants me to do open heart surgery. Will find out may 7 Why have you waited for 2 years?
I was just told I needed open heart surgery for aortic regurgitation. Going to see surgeon on May 7. Little or no symtoms other than fatigue and palpitations from time to time. Was told that things will get worse and to do it soon. I Would like comments. Thanks
Just got new heart valve at Mayo 10 days ago. At home now. Still pretty weak
My doctor has also told me I have a leaky valve but he said it wasn't bad enough to do anything about it. He also said I have Afib and am on Eliquis (a blood thinner) to control the Afib. He did give me some other medicine for the Afib but it affected my kidneys (I only had 40% kidney function) and reduced the function to 23% in about a week so I stopped taking that. Wonder if I should get another opinion.
