New PARI Nebulizer Options Coming Our Way?

Posted by scoop @scoop, Oct 5 12:45pm

PARI has introduced some new nebulizer products that, for now, appear to be available only in Europe. The new portable PARI BOY Go appears to be available only in Germany at this point.

I’d love to see these products introduced in the USA sooner rather than later, although I realize there are regulatory and other hurdles that have to be cleared first.

It might be possible for someone traveling to Europe or Germany to purchase one or both of these devices, although I don’t know what issues there might be with bringing them back to the USA, power compatibility, warranties, replacement parts, etc.

PARI BOY Go:

eFlow rapid nebulizer system, smaller new controller:

If anyone has information or experience with either of these newer products, please post any details here.

Since bronchiectasis is a lifelong condition, it’s encouraging to see continued development of nebulizer technology. Anything that can make our daily treatment routines faster, easier, or more portable could make a meaningful difference in managing the disease over the long term.

I ordered mine last week. I just read that in the directions (4.2), the first point says that the nebulizer top, mouthpiece and controller cannot be sterilized.

What does this mean? I thought I read that it can be boiled or put in baby bottle sterilizer.

Thanks for helping.

I decided to keep mine as I worked through the startup issues. It was unclear to me how much it would cost to return and what the reimbursement process was and decided that it was working well enough to not return.

Have you changed the batteries? I found they did not last very long. What’s working much better for me is using the USB-C cable connection. The maintenance mode does come on from time to time. I’m in the habit of soaking mine in soapy water and boiling after each use. Right now I’m traveling so I’m being more cautious than if I were at home. For me, it’s proven to be a very convenient travel nebulizer. At home I’ll go back to using my E rapid.

It’s called USB-C. It’s a connector cable that goes from the wall electricity through an adapter to the nebulizer. The USB-C cable does not come with the Pari boy go nebulizer. You need to purchase it separately. They are easily found at Walgreens, Walmart, CVS, etc.

@scoop, Yeah, the shipping cost is a bit prohibitive. It has to be shipped to Slovakia, it would amount to approximately $80. Amazon.de says it would reimburse the total purchase fee + tariffs + shiiping and an extra $ 9.99 for the returen shipping. So I am opiting out of shipping it back. It is still working, just not as strongly as it was in the beginning.
One of my friends is upgrading her eRapid system and is giving me one of her current eRapid systems (she has 2). She sold me one brand new handset. It's working fine, but to me it is not as good as the Pari Boy Go when it was brand new. My Pari Boy Go is currently working similarly to the eRapid I got, maybe a tiny bit weaker but I am not even sure. I just wish they would manufacture the Pari Boy Go in such a way that his performance could be maintained at least a year with proper cleaning and maintenance. It is still for me the very best nebulizer I have ever used.
Best wishes of great health to all of us!

Please read Pari Boy Go English manual I posted x2 earlier. It tells you the specification for USB C cable requirement for voltage and Amps. I bought one from Amazon for $9.99 & it works great for me for now.
"DC 5V 2A 10W USB Wall Charger with 10ft/3M USB C Cable, AC Adapter for Type-C Enabled Home Security Cameras".
It is not same as what Pari Boy Go sells, but it meets their specification except no plug in recommendation. The manual says do NOT use plug in. Please buy regular charging cable. NOT FAST charging cable.

@scoop, I soak in soapy water after each use and run it through the baby bottle sterilizer cycle after each use. Maybe it would work better if I boil it after each use instead. I might try that.
and yes, I connect it at times to a USB-C cable connection.
Best wishes of great health to all of us!

@cavlover If you read down further in the instructions, it covers boiling (and if you can boil for 5 minutes, you can use the baby bottle sterilizer -- or I plan to anyway). It's on page 27
