New PARI Nebulizer Options Coming Our Way?

Posted by scoop @scoop, Oct 5 12:45pm

PARI has introduced some new nebulizer products that, for now, appear to be available only in Europe. The new portable PARI BOY Go appears to be available only in Germany at this point.

I’d love to see these products introduced in the USA sooner rather than later, although I realize there are regulatory and other hurdles that have to be cleared first.

It might be possible for someone traveling to Europe or Germany to purchase one or both of these devices, although I don’t know what issues there might be with bringing them back to the USA, power compatibility, warranties, replacement parts, etc.

eFlow rapid nebulizer system, smaller new controller:

If anyone has information or experience with either of these newer products, please post any details here.

Since bronchiectasis is a lifelong condition, it’s encouraging to see continued development of nebulizer technology. Anything that can make our daily treatment routines faster, easier, or more portable could make a meaningful difference in managing the disease over the long term.

@bkim408 have you ever been told where the worst of your BE is? I for one have been told that mine is both lower lobes, & posterior. So am wondering if this machine would be very useful to me. I currently use a pro neb at home which works fairly well at home. Although I think it is terrific that companies are coming up with new equipment for us, I think the location of the worst of each individuals BE plays a HUGE role in how effective the nebulizer & medication is. I hope and pray that everyone can find a nebulizer that works well for them. Better breathing for us all.

@spider109 - Everyone is very excited about the Pari Boy Go. It makes me want to go out and get one myself. But, you've brought up something to consider. My pulmonologist says that my BE is throughout my lungs so is the slower method better for me? I think it is something that I'll check with the doctor about. Unfortunately I'm finding that the doctors are not able to know about all the various devices. It's a shame, but I do understand and appreciate all the comments and experiences everyone has and are willing to share.

@gigiv thank you so much for the info . Is a microwave bag not mentioned in the manufacturer’s instructions ?

@cholash, because of the small metal contactors I would not put the cup in the microwave.
Best wishes of great health to all of us!

Did you all purchase it from Germany or is it available elsewhere?

@gigiv, Thank you so much for the update. How long does it take for 4ml saline to finish?

@wangling, including 4 or 5 small pauses to expel mucus, it took 6 minutes to nebulize 4 ml of saline.

@fdixon63, I am not a pulmonologist, but intuitively it seems to me that the slower and longer you breath in the more coverage of your lungs by the saline. But I could be wrong. Personally, the Pari Boy Go has been so far the best nebulizer for me, within my experience of the last 3 years (ProNeb, Pari Trek, Ombra). But we are all different.

@gigiv i totally agree that we each have to find what works best for each one of us. I’m curious with your perspective what did you find better between the Go Boy vs the pro neb. Was it more effective? I’m sure it was faster. And if more effective I wonder if that’s because it is a mesh nebulizer, rather than an aerosol.

If you are at home & time is not an issue, then I think Pari Pro Neb Max (most recent version) is better over all. If you are traveling, You might want to take Pari Boy Go with you due to size & easy cleaning. I am including English version of Pari Boy Go manual here. https://www.pari.com/fileadmin/user_upload/PARI.com-UK/Documents/IFU/Inhalation-Devices/PARI-BOY-Go/155D0001-A-2026-03-IFU-PARI-BOY-Go-System-UK.pdf

@spider109, faster and totally quiet and no cord. All these are big plusses for me. And it does help me bring up mucus, whereas the others machines did not, also a big plus for me. And it is small, it fits easily in a medium size purse or in a computer bag. It does appear to be the right machine for me.
