Is anyone taking testosterone injections as part of their HRT?
I am post menopausal for two months. Been on HRT (estrodiol patch and oral progesterone) for 7 months. My doctor recommended testosterone injections as part of my HRT. I tried testosterone cream but it did not help with my levels or symptoms. My blood work indicates very low testosterone levels, and I have other symptoms. I am unsure about taking injections. Is anyone taking injections and willing to share their experience. I am not interested in pellets.

Just wanted to add this.
Medicare pays for my office visits, bloodwork and my estradiol cream and patch as well as my progesterone. It does not pay for my compounded testosterone cream $45 every 90 days.
When I used the pellet for estradiol and testosterone I paid $450 every 12 weeks no help on that from Medicare.

Most physicians have no training in the use of testosterone for women. That is abysmal!!!!
This must change. Again, it has to start with us. Make your voices heard. "What is your training in bhrt/hrt including testosterone? Who can you refer me to who is well trained and understands the importance of testosterone for women?"
What do we have to do, take to the streets yet again?
Dr. Kelly Casperson speaking about testosterone for women.
If anyone knows of a provider group that needs education on women and testosterone there is a 6 week class given by Harvard. It starts in October.
