Experience with thickening of the heart walls with an aortic aneurysm?

I had a echo after last drs appointment, now they are saying the heart wall in left ventricle is thick. This is after they told me I had sever calcification, did a heart cath and I have no blockage at all. I was told with the CT scan you can't tell if the calcification is on the inside or outside, mine is on the outside. I have had a constant struggle with my BP for years, is this a factor in my BP? What can you do for thick heart walls?

I am in a similar situation, but with minimal calcification. Aneurysm orginally found on CT scan in Jan and had ECHO last week. Met with primary this week; in my case, she said thickening may have been caused by high blood pressure, and at this time the best way to prevent future damage is to keep blood pressure under control. I take BP medications.

I do have a follow-up appointment with a vascular provider next week to discuss aortic size.

What are you doing to control BP?

I have battled high BP for most of my adult life. Noting seems to lower it, Ive been on heavy meds for 30 years.
