Help for Dried Out Nose on High Flow O2

I’m on high flow oxygen and I can’t find anything that keeps my nose moist. Everything I tried dried up in my nose and added to an already crusty nostril that bleeds on occasion. I have humidifiers on my concentrators, tried Ayrs, NeilMed, KY Jelly, etc! I use saline nasal spray to at least open it up but that dries quickly. No physician has any suggestions. It’s a nightmare!!

@maps I am not putting gobs of it, just some on a Q-tip and circling inside each nostril.

Just saw my ENT & he had me purchase a $10 tube of Bon Nare that his colleague invented. It is a lotion, specifically not a gel made for oxygen patients. So far I like it better than anything else I have used. Can buy on Amazon. https://a.co/d/0d7NLOXf

@maps I have used for 6 yrs. Was told the same thing. Went and bought a tube of KY and found it evaporated PDQ. Spoke with a professional and the level of flammability is very high with vaseline. Use all the time. I use Vicks, which supposedly is flammable, any time my nose is plugged. 6 yrs. I take no precautions. To keep from being sued I will say maybe just me. Kidding. All the best.

Lol 😆. I appreciate people who don't conform. It hasn't caught fire yet so who knows? Maybe burnt subjects really pack it in there and light a cigarette!

@map I don't think even that would do it. Now light that smoke with O2 and well my son knows a fool that smokes and has burnt his face a few times. You wanna light up light up a brain cell and take the cannula out seems rather elementary. Sadness for the fellow.
