Extremely dry eyes after cataract surgery and ECT

Had cataract surgery about 6 years ago. Developed severe dry eyes. Eyes have gotten worse while doing ECT treatments. Probably anesthesia is part of the problem. Any other ideas or help in remedying how uncomfortable my eyes are? They are gritty feeling and blurry oftentimes.

Anesthesia does not cause dry eyes.

Use warm compresses to soften the oil glands.

Make sure to use only preservative free Refresh eye drops at least two times daily in addition to your other eye drops.
My eyes bothered me before I switched to the preservative free.
I had itchy, sandy eyes and blurred vision.
Now using Preservative Free Refresh eye drops and my eyes have cleared up.
