@steve161 I believe Systane can be purchased with that same delivery method. The reason for my personal choice of the bottle is cost control. The tip is made in a way to prevent contamination. I've not experienced contamination issues after many refills. Your delivery choice is a valid one.

@schumacv , I have to admit you pointed out something I hadn't paid much attention to in the past, the price, so lets take a look. First I found you're right Systane does have a vial delivery system so I'll add that to the mix, for me that's a plus, and I also found that Wal-Mart and Amazon on the internet had very similar pricing, which makes this a much easier exercise. Note: the internet also said that on average it takes about .05mL of product per eye drop.
Wal-Mart/Amazon
thera tears - 30 vials=18mL/box $11.78 ÷ 18 = $.65/mL (about 360 drops)
Systane Comp PF - 30 vials=15mL/box $19.47 ÷ 15 = $1.30/mL (about 300 drops)
Systane Comp PF - bottle=10mL/box $17.98 ÷ 10 = $1.78/mL (about 200 drops)
