I’ve been on Brinsupri for abt 2 months and have had some skin issues - headed to dermatologist as well. It does say to expect rashes or skin thickening on the side effects sheet. So hopeful as it works well.
I saw my NJH doctor a few weeks ago, and she recommended a one month pause on the Brinsupri. I was experiencing hair loss, skin thickening and a few precancerous spots. I also had an increase of sinus and a rough cough that could've be an upper respiratory infection. Nothing showed up in the sputum cultures. She put me on an antibiotic to be cautious since I will be traveling soon.

I have a rash on my back and
Been to dermatologist. Nothing seems to help. I want to stay on this medication because my lungs feel so much better but the rash is getting me down. I’m going to talk to doctor about lower dose and see if that helps. Looking for information on how to get rid of the rash.

Hi there—it’s nice to hear from you. I went to the dermatologist today; he says I have a rash that isn't caused by medication—my skin is reacting to a day cream that’s too rich. They also drew blood to check for inflammation. As you said, I’m already doing much better, but I’m still going to discuss reducing my dosage to 10 mg with my pulmonologist.

It’s good to hear it isn’t a rash from the medicine I’m sure. I’m going to check also with my pulmonologist and go back to dermatologist. Hope yours get better soon when you delete the day cream! It’s so good to connect with someone going through the

Does anyone here have bronchiectasis and Pseudomonas? Is there a treatment for this germ? I contracted it three years ago, in the hospital...

2 ReactionsAt 5.5 months had to take a pause. Derm diagnosed skin issues as Lichen Planus. Given a steroid shot and Mayo said to wait until rash and intense itching is gone. Also have had a huge increase in my normal precancerous spots AND dentist says I have the beginning of gingivitis, No one knows if Brinsupri is the cause. Hope to restart at 10 mg.
