Rectal Prolapse: What are my options?
I need to finally address my rectal prolapse. What are my options? Anyone else with this problem?
Thank you.

@cardigan
How do you rinse the rectum, with what and how often? Is this like a fleets?
@lauriejw7
I think it would be a personal choice. My prolapse is so bad. I have to have surgery because it is bulging so much. A lot depends upon the surgeon also. I have a friend who just had it done and she is much better without any after effects from the surgery. If you have access to the Internet, you can try what they call splinting to see if that might help. While it’s true that it could prolapse again, therapy should help and no heavy lifting and no straining when you have to have a bowel movement.
@laito1902 It is an irregation system.It consists of a thick plastic bag which holds purified water or boiled tap water,there is a tube which is inserted into rectum and the water is pumped in and removes the fecus.If you are suitable for this system there is usually a dedicated nurse to demonstrate how it works.
