How many of you decided to move permanently to be near Mayo?
Hi. I am wondering how many people decided to move to be near Mayo permanently for all follow up care after transplant? Thanks!

Stay safe, @windwalker and @caligali.
I'm in Calif so I'm safe @colleenyoung We both need to send positive vibes for safety to @windwalker !!!
@caligali, Thank you for the positive vibes! I am sure I will need them. I don't even know which direction to go to escape the hurricane until we know for sure it's path. I have hotel reservations all over the place to make sure we have shelter somewhere. We got stuck last year with no where to go because all surrounding state's hotels and AirB&B were full. We ended up in Opelika, Alabama of all places!!!
Oh no!!!! So smart to prebook! I would go NW of Fl. I will continue to think of you and sending you positivity and strength!!!
@caligali I did book one N.W. of us, but it is only 2 1/2 hours away. This thing has the potential to go that far too. If it heads up that way, we will get in the car and keep driving west! Booked a room for four nights in Atlanta too in case it decides to ride the coast northward.
Perfect plan!
Windwalker...stay safe!!! Take care of self....try to get rest and eat properly!!! Tdrell
@caligali Hi Barb! I just got back home two nights ago from my evacuation. I stayed away longer than necessary since I fled to my home state of Virginia. I had a nice visit with my daughter and worked on my rental property up there. Thank you for thinking of me. I was wondering when your new appt is for your visit to Mayo in JAX? How are you doing right now? Hugs, Terri
Hi Terri! Must feel good to be back home! I will be at Mayo in Jacksonville the week of October 16th.
Any chance you will be there then too?
@windwalker, Hi Terri. We are happy to hear that you are back home. I bet that was a real treat for both you and your daughter to have time together.
