Has anyone tried Naturva for bronchiectasis?

Thinking of trying Naturva a holistic product for thick mucus/bronchiectasis. Mucinex doesn't seem to be helping. Thanks.

Welcome to Mayo Connect and the Bronchiectasis group - we're here to share our experiences. That "stuck" thick mucus is a trial and we often are willing to try anything to get rid of it.
Let's talk about Naturva Lung Cleansing Spray - First, they offer no studies or other proof that this product helps other than a few testimonials. Next, inhaling substances into already challenged lungs can be a risky proposition. And with an unregulated product like this one, there is no guarantee of purity. Finally, there are other known, safer things you can inhale (nebulize) to help thin mucus - notably albuterol/levalbuterol to open airways and sterile saline to thin secretions.

Are you doing nebulizing and daily airway clearance to get the mucus out? If Mucinex doesn't work for you, some people have good results with N Acetyl Cysteine (NAC).

@sueinmn
Is the sterile saline for nebulizers available without a prescription? Thank you for the information about N-acetyl cysteine!

@sueinmn Thanks for educating me on Naturva. I am doing the daily airway clearance with sterile saline. I will also look into NAC.

My resperologist put me on an anoro inhaiker. It helped thin the mucous a lot. I’m also on the big 3 plus clofazimine. I just got my first negative sample in years.
I’ve had both Mac and be for ten years. No weight loss. But fatigue and other issues.
Just keep trucking along. Only 59 so am sure I will have years of this battle.
