Stress Test
After getting a 922 on a calcium scan I had a stress test (echo) yesterday.
Results condensed
* No evidence of exercise-induced ischemia
* Reached 96% of predicted maximum heart rate (152 bpm)
* Target heart rate successfully achieved
* Normal heart wall motion at rest and peak exercise
* No regional wall-motion abnormalities
* Stress ECG negative for ischemia
* No ST-segment depression
* No angina during exercise
* No stress-induced arrhythmias
* No conduction abnormalities
* Normal LV systolic function
* Normal ejection fraction: 58–63%
* Normal right ventricular function
* No significant valve abnormalities
* Duke treadmill score: +7 — low-risk category
* Exercise capacity: 8.3 METs
* Normal blood-pressure response to exercise
* No complications during testing
* Overall conclusion: negative stress echocardiogram for exercise-induced ischemia
Haven’t heard from Dr. Chat GPT says it was good.

@bearcat998, I can understand wanting to make sense of the results while you’re waiting to hear from your doctor. I agree with @bitsygirl, there certainly seems to be some reassuring findings in your stress echo report. This will also be one piece of the puzzle your doctor can consider along with your calcium score, health history, symptoms and other risk factors.
I am full of questions that may help others know how to better respond as well.
What led to having the calcium scan in the first place? Do you have a follow-up scheduled to review the results with your doctor? While you’re waiting to hear from your doctor, what are you most wondering about?

I had prostate cancer. I had a PSMA scan. It noted no cancer. But a footnote said calcium in artery.
That led to a calcium scan.

What symptoms might you have?
Good news about your heart function. Consider requesting carotid ultrasound, HsCRP, and lipoprotein
studies to complete your risk assessment.
Besides statin and Mediterranean diet exercise is your best medicine.
@seniormed one issue to keep in mind when relying on the heart scan is that it doesn't measure something called soft plaque. I guess the only take-away is that the scan is only a part of necessary testing. I mistakenly thought the scan was the definitive answer to arterial plaque health question. As @seniormd recommended, there are numerous other tests necessary for a firm answer to the question.
I understand. I’m hoping I’m ok. Cholesterol numbers are good. LDL is 65. Just had another statin added.

I had no symptoms. It was noted on another type of scan.
