Anyone have hazy vision and black dots after cataract surgery?

I had cataract surgery on both eyes, the right one is good but the left one is hazy and black dots, I am having a hard time seeing out of the left one, I have been on steroid eye drops for 3 weeks, not any better . I go again to ophthalmologist Monday. I am beginning to get worried. Anyone here have similar problems? If so what was the outcome? Thanks so much

I also have both. It’s been 4 months now. I have had two laser surgeries to try and get rid of the patchy haze (doesn’t cover my entire eye) and the one black dot. The haze is better but still there. Same with the black dot.

Had your issue finally been resolved?

You may have corneal edema. Muro 128, sodium chloride will help. I had cataract surgery 101025 and lost my vision for 3 months. I was on steroid eye drops for 3 months. I again lost my vision 2 months ago and was told I was a candidate for DMEK. I also had surgery to remove shards the first surgeon left in my eye.

That sounds like a nightmare that you can't wake up from. How are your eyes doing now?

@deborah1031 I have regained vision in my RE, for how long i don't know. I still have a level 4 cataract in my LE. I have come to the conclusion that my surgeon was incompetent along with being a passive aggressive personality. Thanks for asking.

I am so sorry this happened to you. I see another specialist this coming Monday!! I still have large cloud in my left eye!

I got large hazy floaters in both eyes a few weeks after my cataract surgeries. One worsened after about a month. My joke is that Casper the friendly ghost has taken up residence in my eyes. I was told by an optometrist that my surgeon's office referred me to that the floaters are unlikely to go away but might "drop" a bit or thin out. One is especially thick and one is like a long spiderweb. The optometrist was able to show me what they looked like, which was helpful in that someone validated that they are real. And she was kind. Sunlight makes them worse so I now wear sunglasses whenever I'm outside which helps some. But my vision is "fine" according to my surgeon so I guess I'm supposed to be pleased? For the nanoseconds I can get the floaters to move out of the way I think my vision probably is better but functionally it isn't. I'm tying to accept that this is the way it is now so as not to be so upset. When I developed severe tinnitus a number of years ago I was able to learn not to pay attention to it all the time so I'm hoping that I will adapt to this, too.
