coughing alot again

How close to sleep are you using the vest? I wonder about reflux and vest use before sleep. I went through a period of nightly coughing (despite being on Brinsupri). Coughing more under control now with a nightly teaspoon of an alginate product (Reflux Raft or Reflux Gourmet) and a 1/2 Allegra (controls post-nasal drip due to allergies).

@scoop Scoop were you fully tested for acid reflux? Was it classified as GERD, GORD or LPR???
I know we somewhat talked about this before.
Are you only taking the Raft/Gourmet at night????,,,,Do you have acid symptoms only at night?? That raises a question for me, no reflux episode during the day? No heartburn or the feeling of food coming back up to your throat??
For me I have none of that. I do not have heartburn or any burning feeling of acid during the day, no feeling of food coming up to the throat, just the need to clear the throat. My interpretation is I have LPF.
However, I was waking up with a burning tongue until I finally found a way to not slide down on the wedge pillow and turn onto my back.
It happens, the burning tongue when I sleep on my back, supine, and not inclined on the wedge. Yes, I found out too late that sleeping supine was a possible cause of having acid episodes, acid reflux. I had slept on my back for about 10 years before knowing about the Bronchiectasis or possible Acid Reflux.

I keep thinking what is waking me up is the bladder wanting to be emptied, not the mucus. However I do 'need' to clear the phlegm/mucus etc. for a few minutes when I do awake, so I am not sure what is waking me up since I do have to clear the lungs for a few times before going back to sleep....the bladder or the phlegm/mucus......OR....now that I am writing this it could it be both.!!
